We had been recommended to go to this place and now having eaten there, we are thrilled to recommend to others! This place is a hidden gem!

Grateful.

We stumbled upon this place by chance. Magnolia’s Ice Cream Shop was temporarily closed (short staff) due to the employee being on break, so we decided to go to Mitsuwa Market right across from Magnolia’s. We were pleasantly surprised with all the Japanese foods, household items, cosmetics, etc. at Mitsuwa. They even had prepared meals which you can warm up at the microwave closer to where Taiga Ramen is.

On to Taiga Ramen… LOVE the ramen!! I ordered the shoyu and my husband ordered the spicy miso ramen. Both had flavorful broth, plenty of meat, and perfectly cooked noodles. We also had karaage that was outstanding! The service was also outstanding! We’ll definitely add this to our rotation when in Oahu!!

This is the best place for vegan food in Waikiki. The noodles are the perfect texture. They have two vegan ramens. We tried the vegan tantan men, which is absurdly good. We are here for 4 days and had to go back twice. My only regret is not trying their other vegan ramen. The people here are super kind and accommodating too with knowledge of what’s vegan and what’s not. The guy who took our order the second time remembered us and was very kind. This place is great with very generous portions to dine in or for takeout at a very reasonable price. Thank you!

I visited this parlor on the last day of my trip to Hawaii and tried the Spicy Ramen. I loved it because it has a well-balanced flavor — not the rich, heavy taste of pork bone ramen, but a more refreshing and light profile. The chef, Kevin, was also very friendly, which made the experience even better. :)

Amazing! The guy gave great recommendations. Hard to find. In the back of a market grocery store but fantastic food! Would definitely recommend.

The miso and shoyu ramen were so good. Also the Nagoya wings were crispy on the outside and hot and juicy on the inside. Juice literally burst out on the first bite. Definitely coming back 🥹

The ramen was okay, but I paid for an egg and they forgot it. I didn't find out until I got back.

I have eaten here multiple times and loved it. Im no ramen guru but this had been one my favorite spots because of the noodles, unfortunately I gave them 3 stars because twice the noodles have been way undercooked, clamped into a ball and wierd texture. Definitely not normal, Very disappointed. Not sure if I will give 3rd time a try.

This place is great. I know ramen during the day might not be everyone's vibe but I wasn't feeling too good yesterday and I really wanted something like this.

Staff knew something about Japanese ramen because wow. Delicious.

Huge portion size too. I can't wait to come back for more.

This is hands down our favorite ramen shop in Waikīkī. The noodles have the perfect texture, and the broth is absolutely incredible—deep, rich, and full of flavor.

Don’t skip the Chicken Karaage or the Takoyaki; they’re must-orders every time. This is our go-to spot whenever we’re craving a truly hearty, satisfying bowl of ramen.

And be sure to say hi to Kev when you’re there. He’s the owner, and genuinely one of the nicest guys around.

Tucked away inside the mini food hall of Mitsuwa is a hidden gem! Taiga Ramen serves up some delicious ramen as well as side dishes to complement the warm, flavorful and variety of ramen bowls to choose from.

Every ramen bowl
Ive had was very tasty. From the Shoyu, Tantan and Spicy…each of them satisfy a piece of my tastebuds and makes them want to dance and celebrate. Dont forget the delicious fried rice and gyoza as well!

The staff is very friendly and prompt. If I do have to wait a during a rush hour it’s not a problem since I can enjoy a beer or walk around Mitsuwa. There are clean bathrooms and plenty of seating so convenience is also a plus.

Delicious ramen and excellent service - the cook went out of his way to make some soup for my sick sister.

The BEST ramen I've ever had, truly. We visited this place 4 times during our stay at Waikiki. We ended up getting to meet the head chef and owner, who is extremely nice!

I would like to rank it 4.5 stars, compared to other options in food hall nearby, although the food is only for 4.0 stars.
