“Hidden gem! Only locals really know about this spot. The food is super affordable and always fresh — never frozen. My go-to is the salmon belly plate, it’s so ONO! The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Definitely one of my favorite seafood places in Honolulu. 🐟✨“

“You’ve probably driven past this spot at South Beretania & McCully, but trust me ...it’s worth pulling over for. Nearly everything here is made in-house, and Chef Dell (who’s also behind Vein in Kaka‘ako) is absolutely delivering.
Expect top-quality ingredients like fresh Mio Pastalogy pasta, egg salad sandwiches made with Japanese eggs, and premium-grade Matsuri rice. The biggest win? It’s affordable without compromising on flavor or portion size.

“Their portions are worth more than 5.00. Food and smoothies are delicious. Their dole pineapple whip is better than Dole Plantation. The staff at Ward/Kewalo basin are friendly and professional.“

“Ah what a gem. Just randomly found this place on my way back to Waikiki.
I got the Hawaiian plate. The Lau Lau was so tender and flavorful. It’s probably one of the best ones I’ve had.
The saimin was also perfectly flavorful and comforting.
I want to go back try other dishes now!
It’s a small place but there are about 2-3 tables that you can also sit and eat. It’s cash only.“

“I been here three times now and every visit have been great experiences regardless of the store being busy. The sweet and kind front lady took my order when she could and handed off my order. I tried their Chicken Katsu, Chicken Sandwhich, and their Garlic Steak plate. All of which were amazing because they were all juicy and wonderfully cooked! Highly recommend a visit and maybe you'll enjoy their delicious meal for such an amazing price too!“

“Wonderful little gem in the larger Hilton Hawaiian village complex. The mango smoothie was great and the sunrise Hawaiian acai bowl was outstanding! I will definitely visit again before I leave. I stopped to try the poke bowl for dinner but they close early (6 pm?).“

“In the Ala Moana Food Court, humongous food court with about 30 different places to eat.
Tender steak, succulent shrimp with a tasty salad and steamed rice. I spent just under $30 for this one dish, but given the high quality steak and large shrimp, the price was justified IMO.“

“I come to the place every chance I get. I love their tofu, fried fish, chow fun, long rice, shoyu chicken, etc. You should judge for yourself. Unfortunately, they are only open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. They close when they run out. Also, their prices, compared to other okazu-ya places are very low. I've been going there for decades. Check um out 🤙🏽“
“They make the best Pork Adobo Bowl. I haven't had that in a very very long time at any restaurant!! Lots of taste & the owner put his own spin to the bowl that it was fresh w/tomatoes, onions & some fresh greens. They also make ono salads. I have yet to try a panini...next time“
“I ordered the food and took around 10-15min. Very helpful. However because it is a Korean couple running it, they make everything fresh! I got the bulgolgi sandwich which was very tasty! I would definitely go back! It was around 14 dollars.“

“Our condo was right above steak shack so it was so convient for us, and to eat whilst watching the sun go down on the beach. superb location, the food is out of this world, so very very tasty, such a popular place. 🥰 10/10“
