I ordered the fried saimin combo with steak and side order of shrimp. I paid $16.06 for the plate when I should've been charged $13.13. I got ripped off! Food is good if you like being charged more than what is listed.
Downtown Honolulu food that hits the spot and is easy on the wallet! Downtown employees, take note!I used to work in Downtown, and the thing I miss most about working in Downtown (besides carpooling with my hubby) is the choke AMAZING lunch options. Discovered this AMAZING place about two years ago when I worked at the DCCA building and visit just about every week if not every other week.Love love love the garlic steak plate and I have gotten the spicy chicken poppers a couple times and have never, ever been disappointed. From the portions to the price, it’s perfect.now that I work off Ala Moana, I still make the trip to Alakea Steak, even if I have to walk because it is just that good to me. Definitely worth a try.
