Not a fan of food courts. But this place kills it every time. I live within walking so I’ve been about 20 -30 times. I get the burrito every trip and my opu, ho man all fill up. Try it. These dudes got it down. Great service

I LOVE Teppanyaki Farmer!!! It's one of my fave places to grab lunch when I'm in Ala Moana area. The first time someone tried to explain what the beef roll was I was like huh??! That sounds so strange. But it must be experienced for you to fall in love with it!! Let me explain!!! You can order a beef or pork roll, which is thinly sliced meat and they wrap it around shredded potato (think hash browns before you fry them). This beautiful food lays on top of a bed of fresh lettuce. What makes this so delicious is, you then generously pour on ponzu sauce all over it!!! The potato is nicely cooked and there's is the meat perfectly cooked on top, with the crisp freshness of the lettuce beneath. Oh!! How could I forget?! You must get crispy garlic chips on this as well!!! Sooooo yummy!!! I've heard that the sandwich here is really good so I def need to try that sometime. Only if I can break my pork roll habit lol!

Service was just okay, cashier was nice but the person who handed out the food wasn't nice at all, good thing we didn't tip. The kalbi was okay nothing special. HOWEVER, the kalbi gave me food poisoning. It was the worst case of food poisoning that I had ever experienced in my life. I was in so much pain all night. As I told my friend this story, she said she has only gotten food poisoning once and that it was from this place's burrito. Advice: check your product expiration date and make sure the meat is stored at correct temperatures. Will never be coming back here, HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE (unless you want food poisoning)!!!!! I don't even understand how this place is still in business.

Hi Jambo

This place grills up meats and arranges them if various configurations. I like the form of burrito. Well seasoned, tasty. Sit at the Lanai.

I love this place! Their food is always fresh, healthyish, and delicious! Prices have really gone up (but where hasn’t?), but I feel like this place is a step above a lot of other places. This food court area is nicer than the main one in Ala Moana, I feel like overall there’s better choices.

Flavor was good, prices are pretty high but at least you're getting quality flavor. Got the steak roll and it was alright... the potatoes on the inside were interesting... almost like very thin onions but they weren't cooked to my liking. I will try the burrito next time I go.

Our family visits The Lanai food court at Ala Moana Shopping Center quite often. One of our favorites is Teppanyaki Farmer and their Original Steakroll with fried garlic chips. Like everywhere else, food prices are skyrocketing and at $18 per plate, we choose to eat here because we love the food. Hubby and I are trying to lose a few of the after holiday pounds so we ordered our rolls with all tossed salad and my daughter and boyfriend ordered it with rice and toss. The plates did not disappoint. The thinly sliced beef is rolled around thinly shredded potato and served with ponzu sauce. It's so yummy. Because it's located at a shopping mall, there's always lots of free parking and chances to find a seat in the air conditioned food court is great. Don't expect a quiet cozy environment. Normally the service is good for a food court counter. The thing that was disappointing this evening was the service. The cashier did not thank us ... he just handed me my receipt. We also waited really long time for our order. At least six patrons who ordered after us received their orders before us. When we finally received our order, we hoped for at least a "thank you" or "sorry for keeping waiting". Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Please don't get me wrong. We have followed the owner from when they started as a food truck. We will continue to visit because we enjoy the food. Maybe I'm just being a little picky or just tired this evening but, after spending more than $75 for 4 plate lunches, the service is sets businesses apart. Sharing a little aloha would have made a world of difference for us. I would have rated it a 3 based on the service that we received tonight. But that would not be fair. Their food consistency earns the 4th star for me.

Picture this: a small shop tucked away in the Ala Moana Food Court, home to a steak so divine, you might just hear angels sing with every bite. Teppanyaki Farmer is the steak whisperer of food courts. Their New York Steak plate? It's like they've cracked the Da Vinci code of steaks, grilling each piece to such perfection on their flat top that you'll want to give the chef a standing ovation. And when that steak meets the Ponzu sauce, it's like a culinary Romeo and Juliet - a match made in heaven. Now, let's talk dollars and cents. Sure, the prices have been inching up, sneaking into the realm of those fancy-pants places. But hey, this is Hawaii, where the cost of living is like climbing Everest - steep but worth the view. Bottom line? If you're galloping through the food court with a meaty craving, Teppanyaki Farmer is your champion stallion. Saddle up and enjoy the ride!

There was another food court at Ala Moana!! ︎I've been there several times, but I didn't notice it until now.(Apparently it will open on October 27, 2017)I was wondering what a steak roll was and ordered it.I looked at the place where it was being grilled and wondered if the meat was really that thin or overcooked. I was looking at itWhen I received it, I was a little satisfied. There are a lot of shredded potatoes in the meat (at first I thought it was daikon radish)Even though the meat was grilled for a long time, it wasn't tough. The taste was relatively light, and it also came with a separate sauce, so that was a good thing.Price: $22.57 3,330 yenJust full? If you ask me, I'll answer that I'm still going.

Our GO TO spot when we shop at Ala Moana. Sometimes we will even make the special trip before heading to the beach. We usually get their RIBEYE BURRITO. It comes with a GENEROUS amount of thinly cut ribeye, fresh lettuce, rice (you can choose white or brown), diced tomatoes, raw onions, and special sauce! Service is always top notch, which is hard to find these days. PRO TIP- CALL AHEAD of time to beat the line!
