Matthew was our server last night. He did a great job, attentive and friendly. We had wonderful food and an excellent dirty martini. Great steak and coconut cream pie!

We are vacationing in Hawai’i this week and enjoy having great food when we travel. We loved our visit at Capital Grille and we especially appreciated Paul’s table side professionalism. When we first sat down he walked us through the menu and there were so many intiriguing choices. Paul helped me select a beautiful Cheurer Blanc to go with our Sea Bass and my partner had the Doli martini which is a pineapple infused vodka drink served in a martini glass. My partner had two as he enjoyed it so much, which is interesting as he is picky about his martinis. We chose the lobster bisque and the server gave us a bit of sherry to finish its flavor. We split a serving of the 8 oz sea bass and had a side of asparagus to go with. The Sea Bass was excellent in its miso butter sauce and I’m now a fan of Sea Bass. We were too full to have dessert otherwise, we usually would finish with that course. It was such a good experience we plan to visit Capitol Grille’s on the mainland.

My friends took me here for my 21st forever birthday. Paul was our waiter and he was amazing. Everything he recommended was phenomenal. I highly recommend this place. To top it off they have happy hour everyday 4p-6pm.

Came in for dinner and left with an unforgettable experience. Its not very often you get a server with the energy and experience that we lucked out with from Evan.

I told him that I typically order for the table and we eat family style but I often order too much. He said no worries, he does the same and would make some suggestions. I asked him if he would just bring us what he would order and his face lit up and said absolutely.

We started with a round of blantons blackberry sidecars. Great choice because I always get an old fashioned and vacation is about trying different things. Next he brought us the chablis from the corvin selection that complimented the grand plateau shellfish platter perfectly. After was the wedge salad, which is my favorite and the one I would have chose.

Next course was very impressive along with a full table reset with new glasses for the Harlan estate mascot(added to my list of wineries to visit in Napa) Evan then delivered the porcini rubbed ribeye with a 15 yr balsamic and a dry aged ny strip along with the lobster mac and cheese (which I always order at any restaurant that serves it). He then did something that I rarely see anymore, he french served us all. I go out to eat a lot and very rarely is my server on point like Evan. Often I find myself asking for silverware and pouring my own wine. Not tonight. You could tell that he has been in the business for a long time and takes pride in his work.

We finished with the coconut cream pie and a bookers small batch. Which was a great choice because I was just at the distillery a few months ago and love bookers.

This was the second visit this trip. 1st time was good enough to come back. 2nd time was clearly something to rave about.

If I had to define this experience in just a few words it would be CLASSY and DEVINE. Every dish was full of flavor and cooked to perfection, even the cocktails were delicious.

We started with a Passion Fruit Mojito and Blackberry Bourbon Sidecar. Both were so refreshing and smooth. I love how strong and fresh the passion fruit flavor was.

We tried the french onion soup that did not disappoint, light and tasty.

I ordered the filet mignon which was cooked perfectly medium, delicate, and served with mushrooms and onions.

My man ordered the specialty aged NY strip steak with a cognac reduction that was unique and different.

For sides we got the Au gratin potatoes and Brussels with a Smokey thick cut bacon. Potatoes were cooked perfectly, not over done or under done and with a nice crust on top.

We finished the night with the coconut cream pie that was the most decadent coconut pie I’ve ever had! Thick crumbly crust, perfectly balanced coconut cream, light whipped cream, and the caramel rum sauce with the thinly, toasted coconut chips on top was UNFORGETTABLE!
Last, but certainly not least, Paul our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. All of his recommendations were on point and exactly what we were looking for. Ask for Paul and you will not be disappointed!

We will definitely be back to try more! As a local girl born and raised in the area, I truly appreciate the touch of Hawaiian history with the names of the private rooms, paintings and pictures. You have to see it for yourself!

Amazing music and amazing service!! Very nice and professional staff love the energy and vibe of everyone in there. Complements to the chefs for wonderful food and props to whoever does the music because amazing taste. Awsome!

It is always a wonderful experience to go to Capital Grill!!! I have been to the Capital Grill on 42nd Street in Manhattan, which is fantastic, and just recently their new lovely establishment in Waikiki.The food and drinks are always exquisite, and if you sit at the bar in Waikiki, Cat and Dillion will take extremely good care of you!!! The ambience is also perfect!!! I highly recommend this establishment!!!
