Food is good but very over priced couldn’t even finish my sandwich and drink before bartender was already expecting there tip. Must be not paid well… good view wouldn’t recommend this place!

First time here. Food was just okay. The food was good but cold and seemed undercooked. The servers were great but the restaurant was lacking in esthetics that other similar restaurants have. Recommend choosing to another place while in Honolulu.

I'll explain the poolside service and the restaurant service separately. The poolside was acceptable for snacks by the pool. The menu was somewhat limited, although there was variety, including some vegetarian options. The flatbread pizza was closer to a traditional thin crust pizza, which was fine. It was not too heavy on the toppings, although there was plenty of cheese. The queso and chips were nothing special, although the chips were crunchy and the cheese was a little on the spicy side, which I enjoyed. They did offer some salads off of their restaurant menu. The beet salad was pretty good, although if I had to do it again, I'd get dressing on the side. But then I'm not a big fan of a lot of dressing, it's a personal preference. Overall, the salad was pretty good with burrata cheese, strawberries, a couple different kinds of beets, candied pistachios and greens.
Now to move on to the restaurant. I read some reviews saying that the restaurant was better than the poolside service, particularly for breakfast. So I decided to try the mushroom and spinach benedict with hash browns. It looked good, but there were problems. The problems were bad enough that if I was rating based on that meal alone, I would give one star or no stars if possible. I believe the hash browns were made with either rancid oil or some kind of animal fat. I just could not eat them, and I tried smothering them and ketchup but that did not help. I tried three bites at different times just to be sure. They were quite greasy and the taste of the grease was very disgusting. They were truly inedible. The Benedicts would have been okay if not for the English muffin. The English muffin was very greasy and also had a taste that made them inedible. I suspect it was whatever kind of fat they used in the hash browns. I had a full day and did not have time to get another breakfast. So I made myself eat one of the two Benedicts, which I was barely able to do, could not eat the hash browns, did not touch the other Benedict. Since the poolside food was much better, my conclusion is it had something to do with the oil they used and the fact that it was fried. I believe they probably fried the English muffins on the grill. I would be very reluctant to get any fried food from this restaurant. Baked food, like the flatbread pizza, was fine, as was the salad, which I got poolside.

Pool side food. The happy hour menu had some good selections, but the poke nachos were really disappointing. It was served on tortilla chips and all the toppings were on the side next to the chips. We had just had amazing poke nachos nearby so this was super disappointing. The queso also tasted good but it was a tiny portion in a little cup to dip your tortilla chips. Overall, we wished we went some place else.

I did not get any pics of my food, I dug right in, but I did get video of restaurant. The restaurant is poolside; views are amazing. Everyone was super friendly and helpful.
I ordered the sesame glazed wings which had a good flavor, glaze tasted like teriyaki.
I also ordered the poké nachos which I did not care for, my significant other did like them.

We stayed at the Hilton Modern with the Grove being the in-house restaurant. Went for breakfast … never again! Even with a Hilton discount card the food was overpriced, the restaurant was little more than a canteen (order at the bar) advertises Starbucks coffee, yet this was self serve (lukewarm) from an urn. Food was bland (avacado toast was tasteless) and hash browns little more than uncooked grated potato and the bacon was so over cooked it exploded into bacon shrapnel when you tried to stick it with a fork! 1-star review, would happily give it less if possible.

We went on thanksgiving day and they were open and were nice. I liked the ube pancakes (the cream was delicious) and the burrito was good. Good spot with nice view outside. Easy breakfast.

Nice little Bistro adjacent to the pool in front of the harbor. Excellent food we went during breakfast so there was no table service other than food delivery. otherwise I would have given them a five star. They serve Starbucks coffee.

I'm sitting at the pool bar, enjoying great live music and happy hour specials. Poke Nachos, truffle fries, and Mai Tai's. What else could you ask for?

Great beautiful place, however needs to have more confortable chairs with a couching. Also French bagett bread. The wine section is very poor, please add European wines like Italian, French, Spanish. Your guest are international. If the only choice is California please add decoey at list.
Great Hawaiian music, great service and tasty food. Advertise so nearby neighbors knows about. We knew because David the Batender. Aloha

The service was great and the food was yum. With just a touch more salt, it would have been great. Overall, it was a very enjoyable night at The Grove restaurant.
