What?! The Nook is temporarily closed! We just went there a couple weeks ago and I've procrastinated to post. Awww, I'm going to have to look at these pictures and salivate until they reopen. We ordered breakfast and the wait was about 40 minutes. We knew it would be awhile, so we weren't surprised. Looking at other yelp pictures it was easy to choose the benedict and chicken/waffles. Called in our order and spoke to the nicest employee. Since we didn't eat in, the reciew is based on take out service. Pros: -cute little restaurant in Puck's Alley -menu items are all favorites, smart to focus on items that are all done very well -friendly service -realistic wait time (I appreciate that!!! Better to overestimate the wait than to underestimate) -ONO food -nice portion size (full at the end) -Reasonable prices Cons: -Parking can be challenging bring someone to run out to get the food *Bottomline-Really enjoyed their food. Can't wait for them to reopen to try another dish.

Loved having dinner at The Nook. So sorry to learn that they have closed permanently.

We are so heartbroken that we just discovered this hidden gem and find out today was their last day!!! My husband made brunch reservations for our 1st anniversary and I'm so glad we tried multiple dishes. The service was friendly, efficient, and non-intrusive. The food was amazing. Nice balances of sweet and salty. I would go further, but they are no longer open. Hopefully they will reopen in the future and we can have their delicious dishes again.

Sad that this place is closing down (sad face emoji). Cute little restaurant that served breakfast, lunch and dinner, but I only went there for breakfast. Took my bf here recently so that he could eat here before they closed down. He got the mochi waffles and mochiko chicken. You would think it's a weird combination, but it actually tastes well together (thumbs up emoji). LOVE the mochi waffles (I LOVE breakfast)! I got the brekkie stack. I'm not a fan of oozey eggs, but everything together was delicious! And I also got the Puck's Alley mojito because why not? We also tried the polenta fries with the curry sauce. Yum, yum, yum! Thank you The Nook Neighborhood Bistro, I enjoyed your food and restaurant atmosphere.

This is the first time been back in a few years, as every time I've tried to walk in, they've been full. I did make a reservation this time though! Easy, free parking in front of the restaurant. I got the Seasonal Vegetable Eggs Benedict ($16)- and it was quite good! The eggs were done PERFECTLY, the english muffin toasted wonderfully, and the hollandaise was delicious. I do wish there were a bit more veggies in the Benedict and the taro hash was a bit dry. I did like that it came with fresh greens. My friends both got the Miso Pork Eggs Benedict ($17) and said the pork was really good, but did agree about the taro hash. We also shared the Mochi Waffle ($15), which was plated beautifully. It was really really good- the lilikoi cream cheese was amazing. Loved the chewiness of the waffle and was the perfect sweet bite (without being overly sweet). Overall, coming back reminded me why I liked it here so much!

Let's put it this way: the first thing I ate when I moved back home to Hawai'i was go here for their mochi waffles & chicken! Living on the mainland I dreamed of these waffles and raved about mochi waffles to anyone who would listen. I aso tried their lilikoi waffles (also mochi). The lilikoi cream cheese was whipped to a fluffy delicious goodness & paired great with the fresh pineapple. I was sad to learn they are only open on the weekends and that they'll be closing in April????? My only question now is, where do the chefs live so I can get more mochi waffles & lilikoi cream cheese after April?!!!

The Nook is a gem . I called 2 hours in advance and was able to get reservations with no issues. Dining is outside and Waitresses are friendly. Drinks are excellent. Food was great will definitely come back.

Biscuits were burnt - like completely black on the bottom burnt. I can't believe they even served them. Anyway, they were very dry of course and came with very little gravy and very little sausage. Over easy eggs were good. Mochi waffles were super thick/dense which made them super hard to eat. Syrup for the waffles had a super watery consistency and lilikoi cream cheese tasted nothing like lilikoi. The polenta fries were however very good but the dipping sauce tasted like pine sol. Overall not impressed considering I spent nearly $50 on this meal.

We had a great time here. The staff was friendly and polite. We didn't have a reservation but they were able to seat us anyway. No wait. Our waitress made recommendations and wasn't bothered with us choosing outside of her recommendations. Although she was sooo right about trying the pomegranate mimosa. Great choice. Eggs Benedict were great as was the scones and gravy. Not a combination I would've tried usually but my wife loved it.

It was great to visit The Nook again. We had breakfast at their limited seating outdoor tables and enjoyed the ultra friendly and efficient service. The inside is temporarily not seating guests and the menu and staff have been downsized in an appropriate way. I wish I could have enjoyed one of their well made craft cocktails but I was headed to work after, my past experiences, they were very tasty. The Eggs Benedict were perfectly prepared and presented as was the French Toast. More importantly, both dishes were excellent tasting and and rich yet not overdone. I would not hesitate to return or recommend people to this quiet, hometown feel hideaway.

Cute little spot. I can't wait to see it expand. Their waffles and eggs benedict are delightful. More importantly it was gluten-free!

The Nook has easily become one of my favorite places to get brunch on the island. Every time I dine here, I find something else on the menu that I love. Breakfast, lunch, sweet, or savory, this place will accommodate your every hunger-induced desire. They have indoor and outdoor seating, plus they are dog friendly if you dine on the patio, which is great for those that want to bring the pooch. I highly recommend the Mochiko Chicken and Mochi Waffles. It's my go to meal at the moment. I also enjoy their coffee and alcohol menu as well. Try this place! I bet you can't go just once, lol.

My new fave go to! Great menu, thoughtful fois, great service and aesthetic ambiance. They have an extensive beverage menu but the food is also amazing! Make sure to make reservations, limited seating temporarily.

Forever my #1 favorite brunch spot on Oahu. If ever there was a time to support local businesses, it is now, & this place deserves all the support in the world. Locally sourced produce & ingredients, thoughtful inventiveness within their menu, & employing awesome, passionate people to support their cause & make it possible to have these delicious plates set in front of our faces to devour They are great. Out of the dozens of times I've had brunch here, not once have they missed the mark. Kind of hipstery & nice if you want to get dressed up or make a date of it, but also low-key enough that several times we've come right off of a hike with our Corgi & enjoyed our brunch outside. 10/10. I'm a big fan.
