I bought Obanyaki today at Times Supermarket in Aiea. Some of the Obanyaki looked like it wasn’t baked long enough. Especially the vanilla custard.
Please toasted more darker.

Based on the reviews, Kansai Yamato Cafe is a small, humble restaurant that serves the best fresh, handmade mochi. The mochi is described as soft, fresh, bouncy, and absolutely delicious, with a texture that is literally falling apart because of how soft and yummy it is. The restaurant makes the mochi fresh every day, and customers can feel the love and effort from the aunties making it. The staff is super friendly and welcoming.
The menu has a wonderful assortment of mochi. The refrigerated mochi balls are highly recommended, with flavors like strawberry & cream, which is a 10/10, and ube crumble. Other non-fridge options include filled mochi balls like red bean, ube, peanut butter, and mango. The ube with lima bean filling is a favorite. The mango mochi and cookies and cream are also mentioned as amazing. The mochi stays soft for a couple of days, making it perfect for gifts. This place is all about tradition and is well worth the trip.
