“The owner was super nice and explained how everything is made in-house and which are popular. The lychee and strawberry+salty lemon are super delicious, full of fresh fruit, not too sweet, and filling. Both go super well with a scoop of ice cream! Would definitely recommend!“

“I've been to the Waikiki area a few times the past couple of years and Haleiwa Town Shave Ice is ALWAYS on my places to visit. The shave ice is always top notch. Chris even remembers us every time that we come back! That memory, the customer service and the fantastic product keep us coming back. We always get an adult large shave ice with either macadamia nut or vanilla ice cream as a base and whatever syrups we're feeling for the evening. The plan is to visit them every night that we're here! They have a good selection of ice cream and a great combination of house made and natural flavors for syrups. The shave ice is always very light and airy. A great snack after any meal.“

“I was craving some souffle pancakes and did a google search and found this little café. I love coconut and they have Coconut Creme Bruleé souffle pancakes on their menu and I knew I wanted to have them. I thought they were great, not too sweet which was perfect. It is a tiny little café, the young ladies tending were sweet and kind. I would definitely recommend if you want to have something light for brunch. They also have teas, smoothies and some cakes“

“I bought Obanyaki today at Times Supermarket in Aiea. Some of the Obanyaki looked like it wasn’t baked long enough. Especially the vanilla custard. Please toasted more darker.“

“Came to Nana’s Green Tea at Stix Asia with two cars (4 people total). The posted requirement for parking validation is a $20 minimum spend at a Stix Asia eatery. Fair enough.

We initially spent under $40 on one bill and received validation for one car. Since we had two cars, we purchased an additional drink to bring the total well over $40. However, we were told they could not provide a second validation because the $20 minimum must be on a single ticket. The shift manager explained that employees could get in trouble for honoring it otherwise.

The issue is that the TV screen simply states “$20 minimum spent at a Stix Asia eatery,” which implies total spending qualifies. The single-receipt requirement was not clearly communicated. As a result, I ended up paying $6 for nearly an hour of parking ($3 per half hour).

If someone is only craving one drink or dessert, it doesn’t make sense to force additional purchases just to qualify for validation. Policies like this discourage customers from returning. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back.“

“The fine, melt-in-your-mouth shave ice 'hit the spot' after a day at Hanauma Bay. I had my shave ice topped with condensed milk, but I think I'll have it with ice cream or azuki beans next time. Hey, if President Obama loves it, I'm all in! Mmmm“

“Ask for extra spoon! They r weak and u will break them while eating ice cream. I love sorbet and ice cream and especially when it’s handmade with fresh fruits! It is little pricey: sorbet $10 & ice cream $11. It’s a small place next to lady M. They have small outside seating. I had mango guava flavor and it was so fresh and delicious. Be careful when ur eating bcuz the marker on the cup will come off and dye ur hand.“

“The service was fast and my cousin really enjoyed the drink that she got (she got a Man-coco Sticky Smoothie-O). She said that the taste was fresh as if they were using real fruits in the smoothie. She enjoyed the sticky texture of the drink. While I got the Fresh Banana Smoothie-o drink. It smelled like actual bananas but I think that the flavor could be a bit better since it tasted kind of bitter when I drank it but overall, great service! :))“

“This is a must visit for shaved ice and here’s why. There’s usually three sweet ladies that work there and they’re very friendly. I would recommend the Lilikoi mango snow ice. It starts with a big mound of pineapple ice cream although you can get vanilla I recommend the pineapple. Then it’s covered with shaved ice and mango and lilikoi syrup flavors and topped with condensed milk and fruit on the side. It’s a big one so you can eat it by yourself and be really full or share it with another person. I’ve had shaved ice all through Waikiki and this is always my go to.“

“Been to the island a few times but this was the first with our kids and the best place to take kids than to get ice cream. And my goodness were we thrilled about it. Flavor choices were amazing. And sooo delicious“
