Excellent staff and atmosphere. The food was delicious. We got the crispy crap cake, butterfish, swordfish, and pineapple upside down cake. Each dish is uniquely tasty and the butterfish wasabi sauce is very impressive. We will come back!

Food and service were great, and the place offers both indoor and outdoor seating with a great view. Prices are steep but great experience for a one-time treat.

The original Roys restaurant is very nice. Food was good and so is the service. This time we were at the second floor and had the best sunset view. Sorry no pictures of the food this time.

Sitting outside which is basically in the parking lot was not great. The bathroom was dirty and our entire meal was rushed. Our waiter placed the check on the table as desserts were served telling us not to rush, but obviously rushing us. There were no non alcoholic drinks on the menu. In all I was underwhelmed and slightly disappointed with our experience

My husband and I visited Roy’s for our anniversary and sat at the upstairs bar. The food was absolutely amazing, but even more amazing was our server Matt. Super kind, efficient, and easy to talk to. He went out of his way to make sure we felt welcome and we’ll definitely be visiting again. Thank you!

Original Roy's at Hawaii Kai delivers an unforgettable dining experience that perfectly blends culinary excellence with a great sunset view. The food is nothing short of outstanding, showcasing bold flavors and impeccable presentation that highlight the restaurant's Hawaiian fusion roots. The service was superb-attentive, friendly, and seamless from start to finish, making us feel truly valued. To top it all off, we were treated to a stunning sunset view from the second-floor dining room, which added an extra layer of magic to our evening. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a perfect meal in a beautiful setting.
Oh, and by the way, don't forget to save room for one of the souffles. We had both the chocolate and the seasonal pumpkin. Both were delicious!

Revisiting this famous iconic restaurant after years.... The food is very disappointing. Sashimi ordered Ahi Tuna and Hamachi, for Approx $30 per dish you get 3 pieces each! The hamachi is not fresh, you can tell by looking at it. I have not had such bad hamachi in years. Ahi tuna was slightly better but you cannot say delicious. Crab cake is also soso....The sword fish was overcooked, luckily the sauce can make me swallowed the fish. No wonder why Friday night is not full. Of all the restaurants I visited in Oahu during this 5 days trip, this is 100% THE WORST restaurant. Definately not recommended.

Although the food was good, it tried too hard to be sophisticated but didn't quite hit the mark. The price didn't match the flavors, and the service felt a bit rushed.

Absolutely delicious. Everything I have tried here is good, but try the Butterfish, you won't regret it. Also remember to save room for dessert.
