Amazing from start to finish!! This is a must do on every visitor itinerary.... Exceptional in every way!!
We had been wanting to try this restaurant for some time but it was definitely underwhelming. The food was over priced, the Pho 75 (specialty) did not even taste like pho, chicken wings (another specialty) was bland unless drowned in their sauce. Staff was friendly enough and atmosphere was lively. Definitely didn't appreciate the unexpected extra 6% kitchen fee on top of the overpriced food. Would not recommend.
Got help from Alex on switching my reservation and that was awesome walk right in and got help off the bat Shawn was our server dude had some cool frames for glasses and help us and did a remarkable job from start to beginning hope to visit one more time before they hele out to Kaimuki you guys made China Town proud 🤙🏼
Second visit this month — still blown away. We started with the Ahi and fried green tomato bites and the Bánh Xèo — both packed with bold, layered flavors. Pho #73 was rich and comforting, and the Mango Soft Serve Swirl was the perfect finish. Every dish felt like an adventure. We're already planning our next visit to keep exploring the menu.
Always great food. Service was kind of slow. I got my food before the rest of our party. They waited another 15-20 minutes for their food.
The food was inventive and absolutely delicious. We especially liked the lamb appetizer and the flank steak
10 out of 10 experience! This was highly recommended to us and it was awesome. Interesting and delicious cocktails, concise quality wine list. Every dish was well executed and clearly had so much depth and thought behind it. Service was warm and attentive. We never had to ask for anything, waters were never empty, timing of dishes was great. We were celebrating birthdays for my Son and my Husband and it was such a great experience. If we didn't live on a different island we would be regulars for sure. Oh, also special shoutout to the coolest bathroom ever, iykyk. :) and sit at the counter if you are a restaurant person and want to feel at home. Gah, Thank you, The Pig and the lady, I want to go back already! 💕
Literally the best Vietnamese food I've had in my life. You MUST get the lamb appetizer. Literally life changing. I hated the daiquiri but I was warned it had a potato flavor so it just wasnt my jam. The other cocktails are great though!
Food was great. Highly recommend. We were seated 20 minutes after our reservation time without apology. The waitress was a bit unfriendly at first.
Went for lunch with a friend whose birthday it was! It was really crowded and very noisy. Had a hard time hearing what the waiter was saying to us. Ordered a Vietnamese Ice Coffee, which was delicious. Had to use the restroom, which has been a problem in this restaurant for me before. There is only one restroom downstairs and there is always a line, so I had to go upstairs to use the restrooms there. It is like a maze to find them and kind of eerie. The upstairs is huge and empty and can only be accessed by a huge staircase. No wonder, they are moving to a new location in Kaimuki. Most of the businesses on Kind Street now lock their doors even when they are open. Can't wait until they open in Kaimuki where there is more parking etc.
Restaurantji Recommends
Tried the French Banh Mi and it was awesome. Super tasty, with crispy bread and a great mix of flavors inside. Really hit the spot. Would totally get it again.
Absolutely amazing. The food was incredible but the service was better. Sit at the counter and make friends with Jade as she prepares your food. She was the best part of a wonderful meal.
Every time I get to dine here I'm blown away by the food and service. The creativity and flavors used make each experience unique and memorable. I also kick myself for not going more often. The news about their new location in Kaimuki is so exciting, I can't imagine what Andrew and his team will be able to create with a fully customized kitchen.
We had a phenomenal dinner at The Pig and The Lady. Sat at the bar and service was great. The Vietnamese/Asian fusion cuisine knocked our socks off! Shared the happy pancake and 1/2 chicken and it was more than enough food for the two of us. For dessert, the soft serve mango&sticky rice custard swirl was refreshing and light. Shared a bottle of Riesling kabinett that really matched well. If we lived here, this would be our go to place.
We make a point to come to this restaurant every time we are all in Oahu! And it never disappoints. This time we were ordering off their new Summer menu, and even though most of the words we could not understand or we did not know what that food product would be, other than the obvious Lam, Octopus, etc. everything we ordered was absolutely delicious with fantastic taste combinations. They are only items we thought were unnecessary for our evening enjoyment, where the three appetizers bites that we shared. The bomb was good. Highly recommend the chicken wings, which were as good as everybody says they are and quite meaty and filling. We also have the cucumber cold appetizer, and it was stunningly delicious. And we had the lamb, which was a little bit Mediterranean with a really delicious sesame based Asian take on pita bread. Again flavor combos were amazing. The people beside us ordered some main courses, and while they did look delicious, I firmly believe this is the kind of place where you order as many tasting plates as possible and share the experience versus having your own main course. The location, while may feel a little sketchy at first, is quite amazing and is growing each time we go with more and more phenomenal looking restaurants and bars. It's just a fun happening place to go, especially on a Friday or Saturday evening Hot tip, if you can't get a reservation, you can lineup outside their door and they open at 5:30 for walk-ins until they're full of walk-ins and planned reservations. And if you can't make it to Chinatown at night, stop by one of the three farmers markets around the city, they have a pop-up!
