We visited Honolulu for 10 days and this was by far our favorite spot in town. The people who served us treated us like family and always had smiles on their faces. The food was amazing every time and it became a nightly routine to get an açaí bowl and a quick chat with the lovely woman who works there every night on our way back to our hotel. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick bite!

The location is not accurate. The food truck is across the street from Waikiki brewing Co in the group of food trucks. I got the teriyaki chicken and it was PHENOMENAL. The sauce was so delicious. It was a good sized portion of chicken, some delicious rice, and tasty broccoli. So good. I ate all the broccoli and probably half the chicken before taking the photo.

I am writing this review on behalf of my husband. If he gets excited about food, it HAS to be amazing. We ate dinner one night in Honolulu and noticed food trucks across the street. After spending $28 on a piece of fish, rice, and two asparagus spears we strolled across the street to see if we might be interested in the food trucks for the next night. He noticed the $40 plate of shrimp and lobster Alfredo and teasingly said he would get that the next night. Well, the next night we did go back. Apparently he was not teasing. He did get it.Was there a wait for her to make the alfredo from scratch for his dinner? Yes. Was it worth the wait? ABSOLUTELY!He said it was hands down, the best meal he had eaten on Oahu. And he had leftovers. That in itself speaks volumes. It's lots of food, and well worth $40! This is easily a shareable plate, but you won't want to. There have only been two times that I can remember him saying "even if you ate this, I would not want to share". (I don't do dairy or seafood.) That's when I know it's amazing, he usually loves to share!Keep in mind that her food is made fresh and with love. If you don't have the time to wait for her to make your dinner, go back when you do have the time. You won't regret it! She is as sweet as her food is good.

GO EAT HERE! Stumbled upon this gem since Hawaii is known for food trucks and it was across from the air bnb me and the girlfriend decided to venture over. We originally got another truck. Sat down ate the food. Which was delicious in itself. Then a couple got this pasta and I was still hungry I asked if it was good and the guy said it was really good. So I ventured over and decided to order me the chicken Alfredo however I got the wonderful owner to put some Cajun seasoning with it. Now before anyone criticizes wait time anytime you go out ANYWHERE it’s always a wait for food. If you want good food it takes a while. If you want GREAT food then shut up and wait. So I shut up and waited. And god damn was it worth it. This pasta sauce she made from SCRATCH btw she said was gonna be 15 mins due to having to make the sauce. I’d bottle that stuff and sell it. I would buy it. Heck I’d even have it shipped to me in Canada if she would! It had so much flavour and depth. Was so good. I had aluminum foil on the bottom of the takeout container which I am super happy about cause it allowed my rather large self eat all the remaining sauce and not leave any behind. So go eat here support local and be patient if you want GREAT food. She’s a wonderful women who deserves the best and she really does make great food. I’ve ate at a lot of places and I’ll say this hands down the best pasta I’ve had no lie. Go support her! She’s an amazing women.

I have tried 10 different garlic shrimp places (including the north shore), only Oloma the rice lady (my new friend) knows how NOT TO overcook shrimp! It is by far the best tasting garlic shrimp I've had! And I'm a shrimp freak! Keep up the great cooking Oloma! I will support you and your business every time now!If you can't live without shrimp or garlic then you cannot live without trying Oloma's garlic shrimp! Remember, it's very difficult to find someone that knows how to cook shrimp without overlooking! And she adds so much more! Thanks Rice Lady!!!!
Lady was friendly but she was by herself so the wait was long.5 shrimp for $20. Taste was ok but sorry, I can’t recommend at all.

Rice Man Hawaii: A Taste of Paradise in Waikiki!Imagine a setting where sun-kissed beaches and swaying palm trees create a backdrop of paradise in Waikiki. Add to this a food truck that's a culinary sensation, and you've got the essence of "Rice Man Hawaii." Parked at the bustling corner of Kalakaua Avenue and Pa'ū Street, just across from the lush greenery of Ala Moana Blvd, it's not just a food truck; it's a vibrant hub of flavor and fun. The truck, with its eye-catching colors and the enticing aroma of spices, welcomes you like a warm Hawaiian wave.At the helm is Ruben, the grill maestro and the truck's resident comedian, who transforms cooking into an exhilarating show. His mastery over the grill, flipping and tossing ingredients with the ease of a magician, turns every dish into a masterpiece. The teriyaki chicken I savored was a symphony of smoky, sweet, and savory flavors, each bite affirming that Ruben is a true whisperer of the grill.Equally impressive was my wife's custom order - teriyaki salmon with rice. The salmon, grilled to crispy perfection on the outside and succulent within, was glazed with a teriyaki sauce so divine it seemed to contain secret ingredients from a Hawaiian treasure trove.Aloma, the owner and the heart of "Rice Man Hawaii," greets every customer with a smile that rivals the Hawaiian sun. Her knack for remembering orders and engaging in friendly banter makes you feel less like a customer and more like a guest at a friend's gathering. The location of "Rice Man Hawaii" adds to its allure. Situated where the lively Kalakaua Avenue meets the serene Ala Moana's green space, it offers a perfect blend of urban vibrancy and tranquil nature. In summary, "Rice Man Hawaii" is more than just a food truck; it's a destination of joy and deliciousness. With Ruben's grilling skills and Aloma's infectious hospitality, each visit is not just a meal, but a celebration of the best flavors of Waikiki. It's a place where each bite of chicken or salmon brings a smile, and every visit leaves you dancing the hula in delight. ?????
Vegetarian options: Vegetables, rice, and tofu ... fish if pescatarian
Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free option was provided
Parking: Plenty of open spaces in the middle of lunch rush, most folks are walking
Kid-friendliness: Nice area with natural boundaries, picnic tables and visibility
Wheelchair accessibility: Sidewalks and paved space, and/or hard packed flat dirt, no wheelchair hight counters, however, I saw them step-out of the truck to take a kids order no fuss, no worries

Google Maps location is not accurate, this food truck is located by Waffle and Berry on the corner of Kalakaua and Ala Moana. There are a bunch of food trucks in the same area with picnic tables and umbrellas.Got the garlic shrimp, was disappointed that it was only 6 shrimp for almost $20. The rice was good and had a lot of buttery sauce from the shrimp though. Was not a fan of the imitation crab meat salad.
Does this place even exist? No one at WFP seems to know of it and even when I went up to building 7, floor 4, it's just some office building? Might as well just remove this restaurant from Google and save the next person the hassle.
Aloma and the Rice Man Hawaii are the absolute best. I urge all to give them a try, you will be happy you did. Thanks for the good vibes.
