I was shown to a seat on the outside of the balcony. A great atmosphere where you can see the lagoon where dolphins are swimming. The service was good and all the staff were smiling 😀 Of course the food was delicious too.

Nice place to celebrate a special occasion. The staff leaves you be to really enjoy yourself and relax while also feeling well taken care of. What was surprising however was we thought there were several options for the afternoon tea but when we got there, no options were given and everyone got the same thing. We still enjoyed the food and our time nevertheless. The grounds were also beautiful to explore afterwards. The music they had was INCREDIBLE!!

We had a patio table on the veranda as it was such a beautiful evening. Inside actually is a great beautiful old open air room so even sitting inside is a disappointment as they have music each night, but sitting on the brand that we were still able to hear it. Very limited menu for dinner but enough to give you choices. I had the steak Fritts, which I don't understand was $30 cheaper than the downstairs restaurant so not sure what that is about as I said eating inside or outside you can't go wrong here. ïżŒ

Kahala is gorgeous and it is a special treat to visit when you live here. Service is fabulous. The teas themselves are great quality and served well. The sandwiches and treats though could use some thought to update for better taste, presentation, and overall impact. At $80 a person, we shouldn't have dried out bread, difficult to manage sizes, less than stellar treats. Humidity is an issue here - consider revamping pastries to work instead of forcing the traditional. The lilikoi cream is stand out as are the scones.

I have been a guest of the Kahala for many years, over many changes, including regular attendance at High Tea. It's always been a wonderful experience. However, sadly, this was not my experience yesterday. It began poorly with having to wait in my car for a valet to help us. My daughter and two grandchildren were my guests for what has been a yearly tradition. It did not go well. We noticed first that the large, permanent menu that was usually part of the experience, was now a xerox piece of paper. We asked the server, who informed us that we were mistaken, they had never had any other kind of menu. However, three of us remember otherwise, and being rudely advised we all were incorrect seemed to me to illustrate very poor manners on our server's part. Then, when I asked about the written descriptions of the tea, she said “it's inside the menus”. It wasn't. So far we had already been waiting fifteen minutes for service. We waited another fifteen minutes for our teas, and it was another twenty minutes before our food service arrived. It's important to note that only a few of the tables were in use at this time. The fly fan was not offered. Finally, a busboy noticed us waving away flies, and he brought a fan. After tea, we waited long after we were clearly finished before again, a busboy offered to help us by swiping my card. Leisurely service is one thing, indifferent service quite another. The final and last straw to our “Experience “ was the restroom. One stall was unusable with wet toilet paper strewn everywhere, and no paper towels or any other practical way to dry hands. Honestly? I really and very sad about this whole thing. I expect better from the Kahala, where quiet but efficient service and impeccable cleanliness has been integral to the entire hotel experience.

Anniversary dinner- disappointed! Server was inattentive, didn't have decent knowledge of the wine or the entrees for the evening. The food was only average. Unbelievably windy which made the evening outside completely unenjoyable. The busboy was the only one paying attention- worth tipping him $20 cash! Won't recommend to anyone and won't return again!

Relaxing Tuesday evening listening to beautiful saxophone (by Nicholas Kaleikini) & piano music while enjoying cocktails and food in the high ceiling Veranda at The Kahala Hotel. Absolutely delightful with accommodating service from Chelsea

Took my fiancĂ© to the afternoon tea experience. Enjoyed it immensely. Selection of teas from across Hawaii was very nice. Whole experience was very elegant very refined and highly enjoyable service was excellent. Presentation was flawless. ïżŒ

Not enough choices for an entree and was displeased with the parking lot next to the restaurant in open air restaurant. The service was excellent and the entertainment as well, was lovely

It turns out I’ve passed here many times and didn’t even think it was a restaurant)) I thought it was a hotel lobby ?? the service, everything was excellent, we were served by a charming woman (I don’t remember her name). She was very friendly to children. The food overall is not bad, but my fish was poorly cooked and was raw inside. We ordered tea and it was brought to us in beautiful dishes?

Although a bit pricey, there is plenty of delicious offerings per person that we both were full by the time we left. They also were generous with the te mix. We appreciated that they had full size tea pots for each person rather than the small 'individual' size tea pots done venues use. There was also an abundance of the chosen tea mix in the pots, too, so the tea was delicious & not watered down. Our server was very friendly and efficient. We also appreciated that the venue remembered we were celebrating a birthday. Our server brought a slice of green-colored vanilla cake with a thick buttercream & a happy birthday salutation on a chocolate medallion. (Didn't know Kahala hotel or the Veranda had an official color - green.)

Ridiculous that we can't bring a bottle of wine into the restaurant especially on my Birthday because it's on your wine list! We were even willing to pay the $50 corkage fee. I've been coming to the Kahala Hotel since 1985, do you think we'll be back? Think Not!!

Beautiful hotel, quiet ambience. Was surprised there wasn't a food menu provided, just a tea menu provided. The savory food portions were pretty big, with many different types of sandwiches made with different breads. My friend and I loved its tea selections! I was a bit disappointed with the lack of flavor of the desserts, for example the crepe cake lacked the macha flavor but generous with crĂšme filling. The chocolate eclair and mousse were probably my favorite of them all. Overall, a nice elegant afternoon tea, although dessert flavors could use some improvement.
