Please keep the flies away while we are dining. We understand it is open air dining but just not healthy. Also, we were seated near the door overlooking the swimming pool etc. and everytime some one comes by the door, automatically opens the door and strong wind blew our hat, papers etc. Doors should not open automatically when someone passes by the door. It was annoying.

While staying at the Kahala resort. We had reservations for 5:30 when they open. They opened about 5 minutes late. We were the first ones to check in at podium and requested outside seating. The two ladies at podium immediately discouraged us from seating out side due to wind. (Which it was not that windy). They said they had our table all picked for us already, and pointed over at it but it was inside next to the outside door where valet parking is. The hostess also mentioned how they had many requests for outside seating already. They reluctantly seated us outside (I would like to mention that the whole time we sat out there there was at least three tables available and we were there for about an hour and a half )the hostess gave us a drink menu only and walked away when our waitress came, she asked us what we would like we told her what drinks we would like and also to see a food menu. She sounded like she didn't want to give us one and said there wasn't that much on it but she left and came back with it, handing it to us, and leaving again. She came back later with our drinks. When she returned, we gave her our order for appetizer, which was the pate', which we thought was very fishy tasting like it was old fish. We didn't finish it. We ordered a bottle of wine, the chopped salad that we shared . It was very good. I ordered the salmon which was very good. my husband ordered the venison pasta he said was good. For dessert we ordered and shared the coconut dessert. Really good As we ordered our food, the server seemed to be very polite and nice. I just don't know what the big deal was to begin with. It's almost like we were unwelcome at first. The start of our evening was not(rubbed the wrong way), but by the end it was very enjoyable.

Venison burger and all the accompaniments, was excellent. Sangiovese red wine also excellent. Pineapple Upside-down cake is not what you are thinking or expecting. It was awful. Service is rather slow and disjointed. I think they are understaffed when all tables are full.

We had not been to the Kahala Hotel in 50+ years. It has changed ownership over the years, and the hotel has a new feel. Danny Kaleikini is no longer there and the local feel of the hotel is gone. We did enjoy a wonderful meal and listened to beautiful music at The Veranda, though. Next time I would like to visit the Plumeria Beach House.

This was the 4th time we dined at the Veranda in the past year. We like to take out of town visitors there. We were so disappointed in this visit. (Our previous 3 visits were great). The waitress was very sweet, but didn't seem to know how to wait on tables. The French fries were very cold, the drinks came in various stages and we had to remind the waitress. There was a female wait staff perusing the restaurant, but didn't help out. The waitress just didn't seem to understand how to manage several tables. It is a beautiful spot, and we hope to visit again, although maybe not for awhile.

Continuing with my quest to try all the Tea services on Oahu...next was the Veranda at the Kahala Hilton. Valet or self park avail. Tea is served to the right of lobby entrance. Ppl do walk through which is a bit different. Maybe rope off for more tranquility? Nevertheless, it was still very nice. Sage green Wedgewood china and a nice selection of teas. Was hoping to try the healthy caffeine free mamaki but it was not avail. We tried the Hukilau & the Lilikoi cacao. Hukilau had a fruity essence heightened with the slightest touch of milk & sugar ( a few swirls of their pretty sugar stick did the trick) I don't usually add milk or sugar but this was nice. The Lilikoi cacao had a nice chocolate fragrance yet you don't really taste the chocolate so it doesn't interfere with your savory bites or desserts. BTW they DO sell these two flavors of tea in their gift shop ($36USD) which I did pick up so my tea loving GF could try some too. The 2nd cannister is for me so I can recreate this lovely tea at home! Maybe when I bake my scones! Savory bites included: egg salad w/radish & caviar, smoked fish baguette, curried chicken & Green apples, Cucumber, dill, wth whipped butter. The sweets included: asstd scones, pot De Creme, choc. Eclair, green tea mille crepe, Madeleine, coconut palmier. Tea was very nice, pots kept filled and hot. Such a relaxing, pampering day to de-stress your mind, play tourist and enjoy the beautiful day! So lucky to live in Hawaii! Trying to enjoy more of this lovely island! A Rainbow slice of anniversary cake! How sweet! Planning to return for brunch at Plumeria Cafe, dinner or Sun brunch at Hokus restaurant and maybe some small plates on the balcony outside the Veranda ( overlooking the dolphins). Isn't that a great way to unwind at the end of a day? Took a walk after the tea. Tour the beautiful grounds, watched them care and feed the cute dolphins, pics by the waterfall...nice!

Seafood plater is too pricey for quality of food...I mean $165 for large seafood plater which is more like medium plater. Fry ahi poke was simply horrible. My son liked venison with pasta and husband liked his burger. I had to return fried ahi poke. Cocktails were watered down with ice and definitely were not worth $19 more like $3.

We ordered the seafood tower and a way burger to split. We ate over 60 and can only eat so much food! It. Was fantastic and our waiter was delightful . I had some wine, my husband had beers. Very relaxed and stresses night with live music.

If you like high tea, check this place out. It's a little tricky since it's only certain days of the week that you can reserve. The open air concept gives a nice ambience where you are in an open air environment and feel like you're part of a beach resort. It gives a very relaxed vibe, yet still high class. The only slight issue is that guests can walk through your eating space which is a little off. Food was delicious and delicate and taste as good as it looks. The teas are original in the sense that you can't just get them anywhere, although a few other local spots have similar style/themed teas. The service was excellent and with a small dining room, they're quite attentive. Pro tip: after you finish, you should take a walk to help digest by walking around the property. Nice views and the cool breeze is a nice way to end the day. If you are near or want to be near Kahala, a place to check out.

My sons invited me for our annual Christmas Dinner. We chose the Veranda to try it out. We love the live music, delicious foods, the ambience, and awesome service by our waiter Daniel. Definitely we will be back ??? ,

I found the overall experience quite enjoyable. While the food was satisfactory, the standout elements were undoubtedly the impeccable service and the delightful ambiance. The staff's attentiveness and the inviting atmosphere truly enhanced the dining experience.

wonderful, wonderful food. atmosphere, well it's top-rate. Service was delightful, efficient, professional, but a bit slow because they were short staffed. No complaints though. Will be back with pleasure!

The steak was unbelievably tender, fries good but nothing exceptional Service good Gin and tonic watery Ambience relaxing outside but depends who you are seated next to so might be noisy.

The seafood tower has good sashimi but everything else was just ok. Setting outside was nice due to view but noise level was more than expected. Check in Hostess should be instructed not to talk or engage with a service dog. Servers efficient but short handed.

We fully enjoyed the experience. The service was excellent. The food was nothing spectacular but we were there for relaxation and the taste. We wish that we could try different kind of tea since they smell wonderful.
