First off, the owner-lady and wait staff were very pleasant and greet you with a nice smile. When I needed help to understand the menu, they were patient and understanding and provided clarifications always with a smile and nice-tone of voice, unlike many other Asian restaurants where you feel like you are being scolded by a foreigner in your own home country, right? Food was excellent!!! I was told that the 80 year old owner was cooking and the daughter was our waitress! We had chicken pad thai, labb tofu mild spicy, and chicken satay. Everything was super tasty without being too salty! This is probably in the top 5 restaurants in Kaimuki!!! Highly recommended! It was very refreshing to have table service that was very polite and courteous. I am still traumatized by the lady at the Chinese restaurant in Market City mall who argued with me about the pictures in the menu for 5 minutes in front of all the customers.

I went there for the first time. The staff at the store were kind and helpful, and even though our English was not good, the atmosphere was relaxing. You can do it slowly. The curry at the restaurant was very delicious. The seafood pad thai has a lot of toppings, and the pad thai noodles are delicious and have a different taste, so I highly recommend it.

Doesn't this name just says it all... Honestly looking for a very late lunch/early dinner but had no idea what...grrr! Well I had somewhere to go in Kaimuki and decided to see where my feet will take me. Driving up I noticed a newbie in the former Keep it Simple location and know that there are several restaurants here as well. To Thai For...yup I've been walking/driving up and down Waialae and no I've never been here though keep hearing so much about it that I thought it was time to see what it's all about. As I enter honestly was delighted to see how nice and open the dining area along with the uniqueness of having shelves filled with various snacks for sale as well. Walking to the back of the restaurant is the bar though it seems like they use it as that more like a beverage station along with more snacks for sale. I ordered the Pad See Ew with Tofu at Medium spiciness that gave it just the right amount of kick loved how the veggies was cooked just right with the crunch yet not raw the noodles was so flavorful and delicious. The service was nice as I was greeted and got my order in promptly along with verifying and allergies I may have. Thank you!

By far our favorite Thai restaurant on Oahu after trying at least a dozen while living on the island for a few years. Our favorite dishes were the hometown curry, Buddha's joy, pad see ew, jasmine fried rice, and the spring rolls. The hometown curry with chicken and sticky rice was my personal favorite - I have yet to find anything like it on the menu of other Thai restaurants since moving away. Wrapping the spring rolls in the lettuce with the mint makes them exceptional. We typically ordered our food spice level 3-4, and the added flavor is phenomenal. The owner is always extremely kind and quickly remembered our names and orders after a few visits. We came here about 2-3 times/month for over a year from Kailua, and it was always worth the trip.

Pretty good for a neighborhood spot. The pad Thai was sweet for my liking but the service was friendly. I'm not sure if I would go back due to the variety in Kaimuki but people should check it out. Nice staff and decent food for the price. It was a good bang for the buck!

Hours listed on Yelp site are not up to date! Lunch order for the office today: Tried calling in an order - no answer. Went in person - restaurant was closed. Went to Thai Issan instead. I still would like to try the food so please correct your hours. Mahalo~

Haven't ordered takeout from To Thai Fir in a few months. We ordered enough for our family of five. Mom's Radna has been one of our favorites. Full of fresh veggies and moist pieces of chicken with a great sauce. It's great with or without sticky rice. The spring rolls wrapped with lettuce and Thai basil is dipped in the special sauce and is just fabulous. The devil wings are crispy with a nice sticky chili sauce that my grandkids ate them all. Love the green papaya salad. Really delicious pumpkin curry with just the right amount of pumpkin. Went perfectly with sticky rice. Finally, a family favorite which is lived by everyone. It's the Muay Thai Porkchops. Excellently prepared. It's juicy and tender. Great black pepper garlic sauce. What a feast we had and just enough leftover for me to have for lunch the next day. Looking forward for our next Thai meal from To Thai For.

Very over priced. I got a Thai ice team and a noodle dish and it was $26 and I picked up. They then asked for a tip. $30 for a picked up lunch plate and drink????? They are crazy.

This place is the sweetest most gentle loving place in the world, as far as I am concerned. They never judge or condemn and are always the most gracious sweet souls to interact with the entire time I've been on island. I hadn't been in in a while and after having a tough day I went there and felt welcomed and nurtured by these angels. The food is the best, and when your soul is touched by the service it is an absolute 5 star business. These are women who know how to stay strong and do it with dignity in a broken world. Thank you for your kindness and my delicious dinner.

To Thai For in Kaimuki is an absolute hidden gem that I am thrilled to have discovered! I cannot stop raving about their world-class fresh pumpkin curry and fresh pineapple fried rice. Each bite is a burst of flavors that transport me straight to Thailand. What sets To Thai For apart is the home-cooked feel and taste that resonates in every dish. The fact that it is a family business, run by two daughters and their mother, adds a special touch to the dining experience. You can truly feel the love and passion they put into each and every dish they serve. As a self-proclaimed food connoisseur, I can confidently say that the quality and taste of the food at To Thai For outclass some of the priciest restaurants on the island. The value for money is exceptional, and you will be hard-pressed to find such high-quality ingredients and flavors at such reasonable prices.Whether you are a tourist or a local, I highly recommend To Thai For for a high-quality value meal and an incredible dining experience. The owner, the oldest daughter, is an absolute gem. From the moment you step foot into the restaurant, she takes care of you like family. Her warm and welcoming personality adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the already fantastic food.To Thai For is a place that truly deserves five stars. With their world-class fresh pumpkin curry, fresh pineapple fried rice, and the overall home-cooked feel and taste, it is an experience that you do not want to miss. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!
