Amazing. I came 4 times during my stay, it was so good. Prices are reasonable even for large portions. I'm going to miss it. I recommend the Ontama udon. 40 for 2 people with drinks and starters

Had the cold Kake with beef and I thought the it was much better then Marukame udon. The broth tastes less oily and not as salty. It’s also still affordable, better ambiance, no lines, clean tables, and filtered water!

For $12 udon curry, you only got half tablespoon of chicken meat and half tablespoon of carrot and onion, that’s crazy~!

Waikiki is filled with restaurants that will drain your wallet, and fill your stomach with mediocre food. This restaurant is truly a gem that defies that concept. I highly recommend you eat here!

Ordering is easy and the food is delicious! I'd say a great alternative location if you're looking to eat some tasty udon.

Aside from ordering your food, it's a nice self-serving dining experience. Great place to grab a quick bite or to order takeout!

I ordered Nikutama because I heard it was their signature dish, but Korean highway udon tastes better. The pork cutlet was covered in oil and it was the worst.ㅠ

Udon Yama is located in Waikiki Shopping Plaza!
I'm also happy that it's open until 10pm.

A self-ordering style where you place the tempura on your own plate and proceed to the register.
There are also things you can't find in Japan, such as tempura, mushrooms, and zucchini!

The taste is like the common Japanese kake udon, so you don't have to worry about it (╹◡╹)
The dashi soup seems to be imported from Japan, so I tried it when I was craving dashi soup.
It's probably something you could eat for 600 yen in Japan.
Since it's a local price, I have no choice but to accept that it costs more than 1,000 yen...lol

This place is an awesome gem located inside the International marketplace. Finding a place to eat can be stressful, especially in Waikiki because of the crowds. There was no wait for our food and it was a quick process. I had the pork cutlet, and it was amazing! I will definitely try the udon next time.

A very popular udon shop in a basement food court. Competition is fierce here with so many small Japanese eateries here, but this place is always busy. Even with a full house, you should be able to find a table as patrons seemed to eat quickly and then leave for the next guest. The most popular udon is the one with beef and half cooked egg. You can get it in regular size (pretty small, but it was enough for me) or a larger one for an extra buck. The food here is good, but not great, and the price was reasonable except for the tempuras where each piece was selling at $3-$3.50. They were good, but pricy.

Vegetarian options: Limited selections.

Parking: Nearby street parking though available but was very limited.
