We went their second to last day and Uncle Clay was welcoming folks in line and talking the time to greet everyone. What a great guy and the shave ice is of course ono. We will miss it!
Had the best shave ice on the east side. So sad it’s closing. Will hold onto the memories.

Fostered the Aloha spirit for decades under the guidance of
"Uncle Clay" and Bronson Chang. Closes February 2025 and will be missed by a global customer base for all the goodwill it spread.
We first learned about HOPA from an episode of Somebody Feed Phil. We were able to plan a trip thankfully before it closes! Uncle Clay was there exactly like in the episode, hugging folks and sharing his beautiful message! And everything was delicious 😋
Very good refreshing shave ice. Too bad they will closed their shop forever. Got a chance to talk with uncle Clay him self. Super nice guy. God bless uncle

Very good. Real fruit shave ice. I like the artificial flavor ones also but this was a little different experience because of the real fruit.

The place was fabulous, and the shaved ice was amazing. My husband and I got the strawberry delight. The shaved strawberry ice was topped with a scoop of vanilla, with real fresh pineapple, mochi, and drizzled with condensed milk. It was deelish!

I came to this spot back in August 2024. It’s now December, and I still think about that shaved ice. It was so creamy and refreshing. I wish there was one of these back home. I remember the worker being so sweet when I was indecisive too 🙏😫 Don’t hesitate to get your shaved ice from here—it’s literally so good. Worth every dollar.💯
