1000000/10 experience!! Such a hidden gem. My husband and I love sushi so much. We were here during the Kona low storm and just happened to stumble upon Wasabi Bistro for open reservations. We have tried the most high end sushi places all over and this was some of the best sushi we have ever had. The hamachi crudo was absolutely amazing we had to order several orders of it. My last night in Waikiki for a week-long conference, I google good local places to eat. A short walk through the rain to Wasabi Bistro where I was greeted pleasantly and seated at the sushi bar with no reservation. Chef Ono, at my request, helpfully recommended the crispy rice and tuna appetizer. A delicious start with the Sapporo, graciously poured by the greeter. We moved on to the baked scallop and mushroom dish with Fire Dragon sake, a flavorful and interesting pairing....
The location of this restaurant is super cute. It's located within a smaller, older hotel. Feels very hole in the wall, and cozy.
