Generous portions, tasty but what we tried (loco moco and chicken katsu salad) was okay. The salad dressing was a great sesame seed, but it was a very simple salad, bit of cucumber, purple potato, tomato, lots of romain lettuce nothing else other than the chicken.
L&L on Palani rd. Kailua, Kona is the best. Delicious, well served food. Fair price. I tried some other locations in California,they were fine but there’s no contest. Kailua L&L the best tasting bbq and macaroni salad.
L&L Hawaiian Barbecue is my go-to for a taste of the islands. I also highly recommend the Chicken Katsu; it's always crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a delicious katsu sauce on the side. The mac salad is a must-have, and it really completes the classic plate lunch experience. The food is consistently good and a great option for a hearty, satisfying meal.
