Surfin Ass Coffee Kona Inn

I ordered two bags of Dingle Berries (Chocolate Covered Hawaiian Coconut) and never received them. I was still charged in full, and after multiple attempts to reach out, I got zero response. Emails were ignored, and the phone number listed doesn’t even work.

This has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional. I ultimately had to dispute the charge through my credit card company just to get my money back.

Would not recommend ordering from this company—poor communication and unreliable service.

This is a very laid back coffee shop. The cashier/barista made helpful suggestions. I was going to get a basic hazelnut iced coffee. She suggested throwing some vanilla in there. No regrets! The owner was also in at the time. They are good people. Probably don’t go there if you are impatient or a jerk.

Do not buy. Worse than other locations and not affiliated with them. The Blue Balls from this location are disgusting. They taste very similar to Play-Doh. There are no layers of milk and white chocolate and it is just soft blue dough down to the nut center. When asking the worker about it, he immediately became agitated and he refused to try one to see if it was a bad batch. Says he doesn't like them either. Do not put these balls in your mouth.

the old man working there assaulted me earlier this year during a march down Alii. our group paused near the shop to let tourists read our signs and he came over to scream at us. he took that moment to grab me and try to shake me. extremely concerning behavior as he was caught on camera.

The old man behind the counter is extremely rude to all the women he served, and the coffee wasn’t great, do not come here, save your money!

Bottom line is that at least in Kona people have no idea how to make good expresso based drinks like latte or cappuccino- something they should go study from the Italian. There is barista oat and or almond milk and if you practice you can get those drinks to taste and look amazing. That should be a requirement for anyone who claims “expresso” drinks on their business. If not just say “lame americano and diluted coffee drinks”Other than that the lady was trying to be nice.

Parking: In general you should know that parking in Kona is a nightmare!!!

Went to get iced lattes and after a substantial wait, all 4 lattes had sour milk in them. Had to throw them out. There’s another coffee shop a block away I will go to next time.

The coffee is average and the service is slow. The pricing is good but just order your coffee plain as Too much sweetener is used.

Coffee was mediocre but Barry was so fun to talk to! I would go back to get coffee just for the opportunity to chat more with Barry

This place says he Opens at 6-8 pm as a second shift. We took his word so we left our coffee shopping to the last min. Anyways they are closed. Its not only us many other customers waited and left too.
