Tante's Local Grindz is a family-run restaurant serving the absolute best local and Filipino food on Hawaii. The atmosphere is welcoming and feels like eating at home, with a friendly, kind, and accommodating crew. The food is delicious, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, with very big portions. Specific standout dishes include the amazing ox tail loco moco, described as one of the best meals ever, and the incredible oxtail soup with meat melting off the bone. The boneless short ribs and shrimp are also amazing. The service is very kind and fast, with the owner happily helping to share plates. Visitors highly recommend it and many plan to become regulars at this fantastic spot.
