TK is really two stores in one. They serve as Noodle house and Shabu Shabu. If you are ding Shabu Shabu, they will seat you and take your order. On the other hand, if you are eating just noodles, you will have to order, pay and find your own table to sit.
We had Shabu Shabu, It’s a bit more expensive per person, but well worth it, as the soup base and the dipping sauces were just amazing. The Tom Kha soup base was the best Shabu soup base I’ve had. I would strongly recommend it.
We also ordered a beef rib ramen. You have to prepare to use your hands, go barbaric and pull the meat off the bone. The meat is quite tender and pulls off bone pretty easily.
Must try if you are in the area.

Update: two visits in three days. We decided to come back to try the Beef Rib Kimchi fried rice and it did not disappoint. Fried rice is made with traditional Korean hot stone pot rice where the rice around the edges are crispy which gives the fried rice extra texture. I also found the Halo Halo drink really good.

This was the best restaurant I ate in while I was in Kona maybe on the whole island. When you walk in the door you just see an ordinary Chinese menu but if you ask for shabu shabu they escort you to the other side of the restaurant and give you the special menu.

Loved the shabu shabu.Went with a group of 6, broths were delicious (spicy beef/kimchi in one, dashi/house in the other), beef combo + a la cart additions, and bubble tea. Delicious.10/10 would go again if we have time.

Nice selection. Lots of tasty food at reasonable prices. Large portions, so consider sharing. No beer or wine sold here.

This is the best flavored food of any type that I’ve had in awhile. Huge portions too! Go hungry and leave very satisfied.

The beef rib pho was so delicious and honestly one of the best meals on the big island

Would highly recommend!! Amazing dishes, large portions, fresh ingredients, and kind staff. Ordered the tofu pho, lilikoi chicken, and fried rice - loved it all. We went for lunch and there was no wait. Enough food leftover for another meal. One of our favorite places that we ate in downtown Kona... easily walkable from the main strip too.

Anytime we come back to the Island, we NEED to go to TK Noddle house...it's the best. We always get tempura green beans, a calamri dish...and more, it's all good. Right now, the service is slow because there's no one to help...you pick a table get into line and order...and enjoy!!!

They are having service issues. The food was good, but we had to wait for over an hour to get it. At one point we were sitting there with only the bowl of broth, meat, tufu but were missing utensils, vegetables, a working burner and our bowls.

This was our first time to Kona and I hate giving a three-star. While the servers were friendly, the portions nice, and the bathrooms clean, the food was just so-so. We ordered pho and a couple of other random dishes. We often return to place multiple times if good, but this was not added to the list. In a pinch maybe, but we'll probably skip it next time. GENERAL NOTE TO DEMANDING TOURISTS: If you are going to be impatient, please go to the beach until you can breathe a bit or go somewhere less local. Do us all a favor, and keep the snide commentary and complaints to yourself 'cause locals have enough crappy environmental and cultural tourist impact to deal with as it is. Staff at so many places are overworked and struggling, so the last thing they need are ugly tourists being, well, ugly.

Came here for dinner and ordered the garlic shrimp and lilikoi chicken. The portions are huge and relatively cheap for the tourist area. They don’t have sign and it took us a minute to figure out the right building. Would definitely come here again!

Was nice to find a shabu shabu place on the big island. The meats were good and decent amount of veggies. We chose the surf and turf option. Big shrimp. We chose the beef broth and house broth and those were a bit more on the salty side. Boba milk tea was very creamy. We also got a few things togo.
