This is a better omakase than in NYC, and like many others commented it is on par with Japan. I very much enjoyed here every course, and I highly recommend it. I also appreciated that the premium course had abalone and abalone liver, because that also speaks to omakase traditions.
I had an amazing birthday dinner here with my boyfriend. The flavor combinations were like nothing I have ever tried anywhere on island. 22 truly has a unique dining experience. I was nervous about not being full after our courses but that was not the case. The protein to rice proportions were perfection. Don’t forget to BYOB! ?
We were blown away by the ingredient quality, flavor profiles, the pacing of courses, and the chef's personal attention. Best raw seafood we've ever had.
Picked up a bottle of sake at Foodland before for BYOB. Worked out great! Will absolutely go back on our next trip to Kailua.
