Romantic , food was ok !
Butterfish was amazing but the garlic shrimp was only three pieces of shrimp on doughy cheese balls I expected more shrimp or veggies !
Noise in the afternoon not bad ! Presentation good
Would have to try more of the menu but will never order the shrimp again

Highly recommended for happy hour or a perfect date night in Kailua. Known for ono food, this restaurant serves with aloha, making each visit special. A must-try is the beet salad with added salmon or the smoked salmon bruschetta. The Shishitos are a fun surprise, with one in ten packing some heat. Don't miss the Brussels sprouts and cauliflower. Chef Roy Yamaguchi's touch makes this one of the top five restaurants in Hawaii. The live music is outstanding and the staff always makes you feel like family. The service is wonderful and attentive. They keep the menu fresh with new dishes like the misoyaki butterfish.
The open-air, laid-back atmosphere is loved by customers. The Filet Mignon with truffle is described as soft with excellent flavors. Servers are awesome and friendly with great suggestions. The soft live music is a nice touch. Overall, GOEN Dining + Bar is highly recommended for its excellent food and lovely ambiance.
