Kalapawai is a go-to restaurant for my friends and I. In this particular visit my friend had an adverse reaction to a medication and we needed to leave abruptly. Allison our server was totally on top of her game, got our main courses boxed and handed to us in less than a minute. The food was excellent, the service was superb.
Came for dinner. The lamb curry, wagyu burger, and chocolate chip cookie a la mode were delicious.
While the food was excellent, Rocie stole the show with her outstanding service. My husband and I try not to dine at the same place twice with how many unique restaurants there are on island, but if all the staff are as welcoming and charismatic as Rocie, we will definitely be making this place our go-to for nicer date nights.

Seated immediately, but restaurant was empty. Cocktails were good. Appetizers were delicious. Brought wrong pizza out, had to reorder. Had seafood gumbo, which was very good, but couldn't eat the andouille sausage as it was spoiled. Server was trying hard, pleasant.
