“Visited twice in a span of 3 days. I live 30mins away and it’s the most authentic halal food I’ve had on the island yet. It’s nothing like the belgian or NY street halal variety. Food came out hot and fresh. They hand it to you on the street. If you’re looking for real authentic halal food from the middle east, this is the place.“

“I look forward to seeing these guys every week at the Sunday farmers market across from Castle Med Ctr. Very friendly atmosphere at their booth always and I can’t say enough great things about them. Their crackers and hummus are my favorites but everything is fresh and made perfect.“

“Five stars!
To all those who complain about the price: please note, we ordered for two people for the Shabbat meal, and we're still eating the leftovers on Sunday—with four people!
Chabad of Honolulu gives a lot of food—maybe even too much! 😄
Some of the dishes were Persian, but still so good! Plus, special bonus for pickled vegetables—so good!
The staff at Chabad Honolulu is so fun!“

“I've never really written a review before, but I felt called to write this one because I sense that spaces like these are an increasingly rare find and I'd want as many people to give it a try while it's around.
Sitting on cushions having Saudi coffee with dates was hands-down fantastic on a rainy day. And the za'atar with feta a few chapters afterwards just hit the spot. I've come by three times now, and aside from trying Mirage's unique food and drinks, I think people ought to come by to experience the way beauty splashes the walls and personality fills the space and how this place stands strong as one example of how it feels to be truly present in one's community.
It's honestly hard to describe, but I think that last part comes from being run by someone who is so unapologetically herself that people who come in can't help but be themselves too. Or perhaps it's from being run by someone who knows the importance of asking how someone is doing, and actually caring about what they say. You don't have to engage in it if you don't want to, of course. But here, I just find that people can be people in ways we try to hide otherwise, and honestly, I think that's pretty special.
So yeah, bring a book, grab a friend, come in for the food and the refreshing drinks. And if you stick around, hopefully you'll see at least a little of the experience I'm trying to find the words to convey.
5 stars, all the way.“
