Just felt like Mediterranean food so tried it out. Amazing babaganouch. Just perfect with pita bread. Had a soup and salad and tasted just like my Yaya (grandma) made. Definitely will be back.

We found Yamas on Google Maps after leaving the Kaneohe Bay Marine Corps Base airshow. With so few Mediterranean restaurants on the island, we were excited to try something new on the windward side—especially with a 4.5-star average.
It’s a casual, self-service setup, but unfortunately the food didn’t live up to the rating. The hummus was so thick it could hold up a retaining wall, and both gyros were under-seasoned. The bread also lacked the freshness and flavor we’ve enjoyed at other Mediterranean spots on the island.
A dash more seasoning and a softer hummus, and this place could move from “laying bricks” to “breaking bread.”

So I ordered a chicken shawarma the amount of chicken was ridiculous- a couple of pieces. I specifically asked the employee how much protein in this dish - he answered plenty. I’m not sure why but it’s not a very great place - food was okayish will not be coming back .

Food was pretty decent. The girl we were getting service from was really nice and recommended to get other things from other stores that were walking distance. Ex: go to round table for ranch. The one thing I can say is they definitely can pick up on cleaning a bit more. Fountain looked cool! Menus could be better, some were stained and are paper.
