My whole family loves Mediterranean food but this is the ONLY spot we’ve gone to that really browns the meat. Game changer!!! We’ve lived in Florida, Hawaii, San Diego and my husband has been to the Middle East a numerous amount of times(his go to is Mediterranean food) and by far this is the best gyro we’ve ever had. There’s an option to ADD EXTRA MEAT! Worth it, it’s so good. Add Garlic fries and baklava with ice cream to your order and u won’t be disappointed either. The owner is a hard working woman who puts a lot of love into her food. I moved from hawaii to SD 5mths ago and I’m writing this from SD cause I’m sitting here wishing I could go to Yamas. With all the food spots here in SD none of these Mediterranean spots have anything on Yamas. I miss it 😢 and so does my husband and daughters.

My Shwarma wasn't very good. Kind of tough and not much flavor. Charge $4 extra for fries which is ridiculous. That should come with the sandwich. Wish these people would taste their food and see it's not very good. Go to a real greek restaurant on the mainland and get some good recipes. Rather disappointing. But we are in HI - very few if any restaurants are good here.

This place is amazing!! So yummy the falafel, chicken souvlaki, and the zucchini fries are amazing!! The owner is so nice and friendly and makes delicious food!! Definitely recommend ✨😌
Nothing taste homemade. Hummus is clearly from a can (chunky and tangy with preservatives). Falafel was raw in the center and 100% a premade mix. Tzatziki had no salt. Pita was not fresh made, definitely store bought. I have no idea why so many people have given this place four and five star reviews.

Yamas is the spot, you won't be disappointed. Placed an order online, easy pickup. The first batch of garlic fries didn't last the short ride home, absolutely amazing! Great dishes for the entire family to enjoy. The zucchini fries will melt in your mouth and the suace will blow you away. Incredible portion sizes, Yamas will having you eating well for what you pay. I will be back, and getting more of everything. Thank you again for your patience and kindness with our order, it means a lot!
The day we went, they only have takeout. I didn’t do my research for the dishes in the menu so I don’t quite understand, but I managed to place the order and the food turn out to be pretty good. It will be great if they have detail information of each dishes.

Food is absolutely delicious, the family and I wanted some good Mediterranean food and that is exactly what we got. The super gyros are ginormous by the way and the garlic fries are fantastic. Very friendly staff and great service, can’t wait till they allow dine in again! Hopefully it is soon! Ohh and the baklava is amazing!!!
