We arrived around 9am and surprisingly there was no line to order and plenty of parking. Must order prior to sitting. Food was served quickly. I had the best moco loco in my life here. The gravy was really tasty and the mushrooms complimented it even more. The bacon was crispy and not greasy. We also tried the mochi pancakes. They were airy and not too sweet. I was surprised that the jelly and cream toppings were also not too sweet, just the right amount!
We have eaten here three different times and are always pleased with the food, atmosphere and service. We highly recommend Kalaheo Cafe for breakfast and we will return next time in Kauai.

Edit: the review above was from 2017. Now in 2026 self serve coffee is no more :( food and coffee is still great. We will always come here.
