We went there at opening 10:00 am.
They were not open till around 10:15 am.
The girl who took our order was very polite and courteous she explained how they were running late due to the late delivery of some of there fresh products that they use.
It was WORTH the wait.
The food was plentiful and tasty.
They also have some very good tshirts.
Go now and try it out.
Only three tables though, so carryout maybe your best bet.

This was one of the first authentic Hawaiian restaurants we visited once arriving on island and it was truly delicious. The staff was so kind, welcoming and knowledgable. We ordered the Kane’ohe Special and the Hawaiian Nachos and both were amazing. The chicken long rice was one of our favorite things. When she brought our meal to us she explained what each thing was as if it were our own mini luau. There were just a few seats for outside dining but the view was stunning. If you find yourself out on the Windward coast you really should stop in and enjoy.

The kalua pork, lomi salmon, and long rice were well seasoned, good portion of laulau and some of the best squid luau ive ever had! Such a good little spot!

The poi was the most watery poi we’ve ever had.
We later saw that it was cheaper to buy at the supermarket (same brand). The lady that was working there was lounging on the couch when we went in, and made it pretty clear that we were a bother to her. No reason for us to go back.

While visiting Hawaii we came across this absolute GEM. We stayed on the island for 5 days and across all the land we ventured through and the restaurants and food spots we tried; this one was the most memorable. Allow me to take you through the complete eating experience we’ve had the pleasure of experiencing. However no amount of words could substitute a visit here.

While ordering, we were given detailed descriptions of each menu item we asked about with utmost patience and care from the server. All of our questions were answered and tailored recommendations given for our party of 4.

When we got our food, it was a delight trying each of the items we got. From a mouth watering pull pork to a slightly sweet taro leaf squid curry, a delectable taro and ube dessert; this single plate took me through a journey of traditional Hawaiian Island food culture. I was able to sample each one of the 7 different dishes in ONE carefully packaged meal box. I shit you not, I closed my eyes after that bit of juicy pork meat wrapped in taro leaves, and I was transported as close to heaven as I could’ve got to. And upon opening them, I was greeted with the sunlight blissfully highlighting the iconic jagged mountain range. The natural beauty of the imperfections in the mountain, was being mimicked by the beautiful imperfections in how their the pork was pulled by a tough but delicate guiding hand of the chef. The mood I felt in that moment was… just pure appreciation for the life I’ve lived.

Afterwards, one of our party members had to use the bathroom. The owners, the kindest souls I’ve met on this god blessed island, had literally cleared a pathway from the kitchen to their personal bathroom. This simple act engraved the Hawaiian people’s kindness into my mind forever. It was hospitality that went beyond a simple meal. It was true compassion that showed the owners dedication to their craft.

You must try this place for yourselves. (Just don’t get the salmon alone, get their big box)

Today I ordered salmon with rice $16. I got sliced tomatoes, I was looking for salmon for a long time, in the end they showed me one piece the size of a quarter of a penny😁 Highly recommend if you have an extra $16 to order this😁

Cute and tidy local joint with super friendly staff. Our first time having Hawaiian fare and it was so delicious! Even scored some free biscuits for desserts after they heard my son saying he had never tried nutterbutters. Would definitely recommend!
