Very nice Japanese restaurant that's hidden away in a shopping center. Mostly locals and the food is excellent.

Ordered a tendon for take out. When I got home and opened the container it was just tempura and rice...no sauce! What's a tendon without the sweet umami sauce..... Also it looked and tasted like they cooked the shrimp tempura with panko not tempura flour, so the texture was alright. Sub par tempura and missing a key ingredient, how disappointing.

Lived in Kaneohe for over a yea without trying this place. I went today and the food was good and the service was excellent. Didn’t dine in but I saw how cordial and friendly the staff were. They knew so many people by name and were very friendly to everyone.

I wish I tried sooner because the spicy salmon and udon are delicious.

Would recommend! 👍

Rolls were so good and well portioned for the price! Service was quick and staff were friendly & kind. Rolls came out as they were ready which I really liked instead of getting everything at once.

Came here Sunday evening, 4 adults, 1 small child. We put our name down and waited over an hour to be seated. Everyone else was seated before us, including people who showed up later than us. I got the chicken katsu don, which wasn’t crispy and immediately gave me gas/upset stomach (this rarely happens to me). Flavor was mid, prices were $20-30 per entree. Another person also got an upset stomach. I will never eat here again and would not recommend this restaurant.

This is a very nice restaurant on the windward side serving up local style Japanese food. It is a restaurant frequented by locals in the area.

There is a good selection to choose from and the portions are generous. The food is delicious and prices are good. The staff is very friendly with excellent service.

Overall it is a nice clean and relaxing place to enjoy good food with good people.

Its a busy night tonight being Mothers Day and all. But when someone orders gyoza and ebi negri and thats it. If you know what your doing at allnas a professional chef and running a kitchen. You can get that order out guick instead of the idiocy of going first come first serve. I have worked in professional kitchens doing 100 covers in fine dining in 30 minutes 2x a night with a total of 200 covers a night. You looknat each ticket thst comes in. If you can get something out fast then you do it. In my case that order should have taken no more than 20 minutes instead of 45 min.

I've been a regular customer at Kenko Ya since back at their old location. I've always enjoyed their tasty menu. One thing in question. Is their Salmon wild salmon or farm. Also in question is the Butterfish which I find a bit pricy for such a tiny portion and $3.00 extra to boot in the combo meal. Hope they can make some fair price adjustments and stop over charging their customers.

Food is always delicious, seats are not that comfy but the service is fast enough that you don't have to sit for hours so its not too bad. Great spot for family dinners or date nights.

My favorite neighborhood sushi spot. Great food. The bentos are also perfect. Ice cold draft beer. And the staff is so welcoming. Definitely have the Aloha love. I highly recommend going here.

We live on the West side and decided to get food before heading back home from Kailua Beach. We were in the mood for some seafood, so that's what we typed into Google when searching for places to eat. Thankfully, Kenko Ya in Kaneohe popped up, and we decided to give it a try! We arrived around 8pm on a Monday evening and were sat instantly. Our table ordered a lot of items, but the ones that stuck out the most were the Hawaiian, Kaneohe Sunset, and Volcano rolls, the Sashimi, as well as the Sweet Potato Tempura. The food came out very fast and was prepared well. The tempura was crispy and the breading was not too thick, and all the sushi tasted very fresh! We also ordered the Peach Jinro, and we were not disappointed in the flavor. Overall, we had a great experience, finished everything on the table, and will definitely go back when we're on the East side again!

Parking: Kenko Ya is located closer to Longs, not by Panda Express
