I recently attended a conference at the Ko’olau Ballroom. The food was delicious and inventive! There was so much of it! The wait staff were very professional, helpful, and pleasant. The bathrooms were impeccably clean. The grounds are beyond breathtaking- the perfect backdrop for magnificent pictures.
The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is due to the outdated interior. There’s old carpeting, stained ceilings/corners (likely from rain or burst pipe), old unused/dusty electrical equipment attached to the ceiling, and we sat on stained and pilling chairs. The ladies room- while incredibly clean- has an old lumpy couch that leans to one side, and old sink fixtures/counter (likely from 80s or 90s).
I want to reiterate that this place is immaculately clean and you can tell the staff who care for it put their hearts into it. The grounds are impeccable, and overall this venue has a warm, inviting atmosphere. I really enjoyed my conference being there- and I’d love to go back.
Great place to do events.
Great venue for the view. Weddings take place on one of the tee boxes so you can see most of the windward side. Parking is typically $15 for the day if you are there for golf, but if you are attending an event, parking is free.
The reception I attended today was on the small glass ballroom side. Still a great view but too small for the audio system that the band/dj brought in. Not the bathrooms fault.
The food left much to be desired. The bread rolls were stale, hard, and dry. None of the cooked vegetables were seasoned and all of the entrees were way overcooked but decently seasoned. The food used to be so much better.
The appetizers were the best. Fresh shoyu poke, decent sushi rolls, fried gyoza dumplings, and spring rolls.
Clean facility nestled in a verdant wooded nook. Located on the grounds of Koolau golf course. Good place to hold a conference.
Absolutely breathtaking venue for weddings or any special event. The food was delish! Could be the same chicken Chans Buffet had by the airport 😋
Beware! You have to park in golf course parking lot to hike to waterfall and they charge $15!!! What a ripoff!! Also, the parking attendant was extremely rude and insulted me because I was confused that I had to park here in order to hike to waterfall, he asked for my driver license to park!!! I was surprised that he asked me about DL, so then he just started insulting me more and told me he isn’t going to let me park there!
Awesome place
Beautiful place. The scenery is amazing.
Absolutely stunning venue!
As a local wedding photographer, I love shooting at Ko'Olau Ballroom where a wedding couple and their guests can enjoy the beautiful mountain backdrop during their ceremony and cocktail hour! The outdoor ceremony at 10th tee has a great view of Ko'Olau mountain range. After the ceremony, a staff member can take us on a golf cart to photogenic spots for newly weds photos when requested. The ballroom is large enought to host a large party with a large number of guest counts, and their food is very delicous. The high ceiling of the ballroom make great reception photos! I highly recommend this venue for any mountain lovers and those who are looking for nature and comfortable indoor party afterwards.

We were supposed to get married here in 2020 May. Then Covid hit and shut everything down. We went and rebooked for 2021 but there was still no gatherings allowed. So at that point I emailed to ask if we could cancel and have a refund do to not knowing exactly when weddings could get back to normal. At the time the manager emailed and said everyone one was laid off for now, but he would look into getting a refund to us. We never heard back from them. Even after things started to open up, they never called to follow up on our wedding or cancellation. They kept our deposit, it’s now 2024. I really think they should have followed up with all their bookings during Covid. We will never get that money back.
Situated below the Ko'olau mountain range, this idyllic setting offers amazing, breathtaking views. This facility is equipped with up-to-date technologies for your group functions and special gatherings, with easy, ample nearby parking, including for those with special needs.
Great food and the views are insane
Great views which makes for a scenic venue.
Lovely location and facilities. A little bit of an adventure to get to but only 22 minutes from the Airport if you take H3.
