Can't praise this place enough. Banh mi, pok pok wings, bao buns, the smoothies, and even the coffees are sooo so ono. I've never had anything that wasn't delicious from here.

I got the BBQ chicken bento, and an affogato. The best thing for me was the pickles. Then the egg roll. The chicken was dry and stringy - like you need to floss, stuck in your teeth jerky. The rice they use is jasmine which is not a favorite of mine. But it was cooked good. The affogato tasted like it was made from coffee and tea. I've never had coffee taste like this, it was akin to the taste of smelling a cigarette - like tea leafyish. It was strange. I could only drink about a 5th of it, mostly because I couldn't put a finger on what I was tasting. The hubs got lemongrass pork and spring roll bun. It's a lot of food and he had a hard time finishing. He says the flavor was good, the pork was soft but fatty. The guy was nice and friendly. Overall it was a let down for me, but hubs says it was ok.

This is my top 2 place for Banh mi now! Stopped here on the way to a work meeting and hand to grab a Vietnamese coffee for that second wind, feel me? Delicious baguette by the way. Tasted CRONCHY and FRESH. Pate was dripping everywhere but it was great. One thing I've noticed that a lot of Banh mi places here forget in their sandwiches is jalapeños. I need a lil spice! When I walked in the place was a cozy spot filled with Pho spices in the air. I love the decor and aesthetics. I'll most definitely be eating here more often so I can try everything on the menu.

Loooooove their mushroom tofu bahn mi. The most crispy delicious bread, fresh veggies and flavorful tofu & mushroom. I tried their Thai tea too so yum!! My go to for something healthy, savory and refreshing.

Located in Kaneohe, Bun Mi is a hidden gem that boasts delicious sandwiches. They share a big parking lot with their neighbor stores. It's a little bit hard to find since its hidden among the cars parked in front, but we passed their giant store sign placed on the side of the building that helped. We came here for a yelp event and ordered the beef Banh mi with pho dip. This sandwich was so delicious and satisfying. Thin, juicy slices of beef is sandwiched with pickled carrots and turnip, cilantro and cucumber. The bread isn't dry or burnt. It is perfectly toasted. The broth is light and flavorful. When dipping the sandwich, it gets a little messy, but its so juicy and pairs so well. Despite being a small restaurant, Bun Mi boasts an extensive menu. They even do catering! The interior is colorful and bright. They have little hats decorating the ceiling. They have a small counter table that patrons can grab a chair from to sit down and enjoy their tasty food. The rabbit mascot holding a sandwich is also so adorable! I hope they make stickers of their logo!

I'm a first timer here at this restaurant and ordered their Traditional Banh Mi sandwich. While waiting for my sandwich, I had a chance to talk to the owner who said they opened the restaurant two years ago. What?!? By my calculation, that would be right in the midst of the pandemic when most restaurants were going out of business. But this clever owner opened a take out only place, as there are no tables to sit and eat. Thus avoiding all the extra costs of hiring wait help. Their green PASS sign is prominently displayed in the window showing that the restaurant passed health inspections. It's got a bunny theme, which I think is a play on their name, Bun Mi. If you say it out loud and fast, sounds like bunny. The sandwich was fresh, tasty and filled with pate, char siu and cha lua. It had just enough savory, sweet, pickle-ly, and meaty taste to hit all the flavor senses. The French roll, a full 10", yes I measured it lol, was crunchy and didn't fall apart considering the amount of filling it held. I've been carb-free starting from the beginning of the year, but this sandwich was so darn good, I ate the entire thing. I will definitely return to sample other items in their menu.

My take on this sandwich is positive. Thanks to Yelpers Nadine C. and Donna O for getting a group of fellow Helpers together. Bun Mi also serves Pho. Spring rolls and Pad Thai noodles. Everyone enjoyed the food. I had the Char Sui Bao Bun. It came with hot sauce and Hoisin sauce. Support this friendly eatery.

Bun Mi is located in Kaneohe that serves tasty Vietnamese dishes. They share a private lot with other businesses in their building. Currently they are take out only and there is no seating outside to dine there. You can eat in your car, on top of your trunk (yes, we saw a couple doing that) or take your order some place nice to enjoy. Customer service was extremely friendly and the kitchen got our order rather quickly considering how busy they were for dinner. I ordered two items, their Beef w/Pho Dip and Lemongrass Pork. Both were banh mi Vietnamese sandwiches. Beef w/Pho Dip - this was a generous portion for a banh mi sandwich with lots of beef, pickled veggies and cilantro. Their beef was a little sweet and had a strong hint of sesame oil. The pho broth that came with the order also was quite large with lots of thinly sliced onions and green onion. By itself, it was on the sweeter side. I did add Sriracha and some Hoisin to kick it up a notch. This was a little messy to eat so instead of dipping my banh mi in the soup and having things fall into the broth, I took a bite then used a spoon to sip some broth with my bite. Lemongrass Pork - you definitely can taste the lemongrass in this banh mi. Their pork was covered in lemongrass which was nice because most places you can barely taste the lemongrass that the meat was marinated in. Like the Beef w/Pho Dip, it came with a generous portion of pork, picked veggies and cilantro. I did find the pork to be a little over cooked (slightly dry) but I was able to sip some pho broth between bites. The bread on both sandwiches weren't too hard on the outside with a soft inside. Ideal for a good banh mi sandwich.

Thank you fellow yelper Nadine C. To recommend me and my husband to join her and other yelpers to this elite yelp event, even though we didn't get invited to go to the event we meet them in the front of the restaurant. Took pictures and check in. Bought our food and we all met at windward mall. Had a great time talking stories with one another. Thank you again Nadine for the invite. I chose the bbq chicken bun mi sandwich. And my husband chose the char siu pork buns. For the price of my sandwich was worth it the taste was good had to take the other half home. My husband said the bun wasn't that soft but its was ok. Visit them if you in the area

Awesome small business! I tried the beef Banh mi sandwich with the pho dipping soup. I don't really care for banh mi sandwiches but this one was really good! Especially with he pho soup to dip the sandwich in. They complimented each other very well. The pho soup was also tasty on its own. I also got the Thai tea which was also good and refreshing. I hope to come back and try the pho!

Located of Kamehameha Hwy heading through Kaneohe town they are located on the left side going towards Windward Mall. They have a parking lot in front their shop and also share parking with other business, the Poke shop is closed but in the back side of the parking lot is a feed store. I tried the Traditional Ba min which was very tasty and they had lots of ingredients with fresh and pickle vegetables and pate, char siu and steamed pork. My wife tried the pork belly which was a char siu flavor and she enjoyed it with all the fresh vegetables. They also carry a lot of other items like Pho, Bentos, Smoothies and plate lunches and other drink items. The shop is pretty small so they do take out ordering no sit down dining. The service was good and she was very friendly! If you don't want to wait you might want to call your order in and pick up or they also uses bite squad if you don't want to drive.

What a fi nd, thank you Yelp Hawaii! Great location as it's in the radar of places I frequent Bun Mi is right on Kamehameha Hwy though depends on which direction you're heading you might miss this great place and you'll be missing out on some fresh and delicious Vietnamese street food. Not exactly sure what that is but I know when I see something that they make it their own and not go the cookie cutter route, the ingredients are fresh and selected and together makes it something I know they're proud of. Today was Spring Roll Vermicelli Noodle, I just needed something simple before dinner and thought this would be great...nope FANTASTIC!!! Though they have a small counter and some stools there isn't any indoor dining so I decided to take advantage of the generosity in Windward Mall provides with an abundance of table and chairs they provide and the air conditioning is a cool benefit. With every nook and cranny packed in this large take out container with four spring rolls cut in smaller pieces piled on rice noodles sprinkled with peanuts and a bunch of veggies (pickled daikon and carrots, bean sprouts, lettuce and cucumbers) and of course the fish sauce!! What I call the destroyer is you just mix everything the noodles, veggies and sauce just go for it all toss toss and toss coat everything in that yummy sauce. I do keep the spring rolls in the mix as well not depriving it of sauce but not really tossing it nuts like the other items lol!! I should've taken picture of the aftermath but it got destroyed by me, but I loved it the freshness is nice and refreshing and know that whenever I'm in the area this will definitely be on the list. Thank you!

I'm always on the hunt for some good banh mi and Thai iced tea. This place did not disappoint, my beef sandwich was awesome as well as my drink. My only advice to you if you plan to order here is to make a take out order and if possible have someone drive you there for pick up. That parking lot is an absolute nightmare. Not the restaurant's fault of course but it's just a very small lot that is shared with the other businesses in the same building. I did very much enjoy this place and will be back to pick up lunch again in the near future.

5 stars all the way! Service was friendly. The food did take a bit but I didn't mind because everything came out tasting delicious! We drove from Mililani so I was afraid that the drive back would take too long and cause the food to get cold but I was wrong. The food was still nice and hot. I appreciate that they use the higher quality take out containers and not the cheap cardboard containers that turn to mush. Price wise is similar to ordering Chinese take out. The only complaint I have is the amount of beef on the Shaking beef plate just wasn't enough! The beef was so tender and flavorful that we wanted more of it. All the greens were crisp and fresh. My favorite thing was the chicken pad thai noodles! They were soooo good and the container was packed full! Char siu bao buns were also hit with everyone. There was a good amount of char siu in each bun and the buns were soft. Veggies pickled to perfection and lots of fresh cilantro to top them off. The spring rolls were good but not great. The pok pok wings were nicely coated with sauce and had a nice crisp exterior and tender juicy interior. The bentos were both tasty and well worth the price. The bbq chicken had a subtle bbq flavor and the lemon grass chicken was nicely seasoned. The pho broth for the kids pho was alright it needed the added flavor from the scallions and onions. The drinks were all delicious but a little pricey for the size and amount you get. I will return and be happy to make the trek all the way to Kaneohe for more Bun Mi!
