Came here for the first time. Lived here all my life and finally came here. Mostly because the line is ridiculously long and the parking is ridiculously small. We ordered the warm kulolo with haupia ice cream and a side of squid luau. Both so delicious and flavorful.
Staff are very friendly and fast. Parking is super small and there are no tables to dine at so be prepared to drive down the street to a nearby park to go eat. There are little benches, but not really a place to dine.

Great local food spot. Kaula pig was delicious. Was hoping to get the hand pounded poi by it wasn’t available. The Po’e with ice cream was amazing. Would recommend and go back for sure. They also have a cool little store around the back.

The only unfortunate mishap or negative here was the timing of the poi-pounding (the experience we were really looking forward to this morning). Online, it read somewhere that every Wednesday and Sundays, they perform poi-pounding around 10:30 am - 11 am but there wasn’t a definite answer. We arrived a few minutes before 10:30 am to find out they decided to do it early and we completely missed our opportunity for the day. We caught the tail end of clean up. Very disappointing at the time but oh well, we shall try again some other day. I guess, if I were you, call ahead for a definite time, if that’s something you’re interested in viewing or get there right at 10 am, in case they decide to change the time again without warning.

This is another one of those places where you can’t judge the book by its cover. I had the sweet lady desert. Warm on the bottom that melts the scoop of ice cream. Small portion is pretty big. Parking is available but tight.

Accurately hyped! All of the mains are delicious along with the Sweet Lady as a dessert. Can't go wrong eating at this spot if you're in this area.
Beware of food poisoning! Disappointing experience, especially since this place came highly recommended. My group ordered several plates of the kalua pork and laulau for lunch on 5/25, and everyone who ate it became sick later that day. It was the only meal we had that day due to a busy schedule. Unfortunately, we had to cancel all plans/bookings for the remainder of our trip because we were stuck in our hotel room extremely ill. It's now days later and we are not 100% recovered.

For some reason i had to order 1 scoop for each dessert instead of 1 scoop for both desserts. Other than that was good.
The banana one is very banana-y (lol). Other was more mild.

It was recommended to us for trying authentic Hawaii cuisine and i agree we totally had the feeling. I was nearly surfing with the kualoa pig 🐷. It was great u could order 50/50 so you can try more different dishes. During our stay we had a lot flys which wanted to enjoy the food together with us. All the people working there were really friendly.
