I always stop here when in the N. Kohala area. Small business that provides freshly cooked SE Asian type of food. Good portions, reasonable, and very tasty. It's the real deal here. And surprisingly, the ice cream is really good!! Great place for shave ice next door too.
This cafe is a tiny little place that looks like you are walking into someone's kitchen. Though she has a full menu (and offers take out - there is some seating outside), we only stopped for ice cream. It was a brand from Maui and was excellent. Worth a stop!
Chaba's Joy Cafe is a must stop on the way up to Pololu Valley (and other tourist attractions). She offers a small selection of authentic thai food and crepes that is delicious and at great prices. My husband and I had fresh spring rolls and pad thai. Flavors were amazing and served very hot. Definitely my favorite pad thai!
