“This place is amazing!! We were super bummed after driving an hour to hike Pololu Valley, to find that it was closed for cleaning. We stopped here on our drive back for lunch. It made the trip so worth it. Just what we needed after a huge disappointment. The poke nachos, fruit plate, chicken hekka, baked papaya, homemade brownies and banana bread were all mouth watering delicious. The service was phenomenal and the live music played in such a beautiful setting while eating was an added bonus. Thanks for lifting our spirits!”

“Good food and reasonable price”

“It's been awhile since I've gone to an L&L Hawaiian Barbecue, so needless to say, I was pretty stoked to get a meal. The restaurant is hard to miss, as it's painted in bright, tropical colors; but that definitely fits the vibe I assume they're going for. There's lots of outdoor seating on the deck and it was easy to find a good spot in the corner that overlooks the main drag. As for the most important part, the food, it didn't disappoint. For a little over $12 (I ordered brown rice instead of white, so I was charged 50 cents more), I got a pretty serious heap of BBQ chicken, salad, and the aforementioned rice. All of it was fresh and delicious, and because of the quantity, I had to take some of it home (I don't usually do that). The only issue was that the lady that originally took our order had a difficult time understanding what we wanted, but that's not a deal breaker because, whom I assume was the manager, stepped in and got our order punched in correctly. Overall, L&L Hawaiian Barbecue is an incredible bang for your buck, so don't hesitate to pay them a visit if you are ever in town.”

“We went to the brick-and-mortar KO Pizza location off Akoni Pule Hwy, one of the few places open late on the day of our arrival. The pizza was good, the staff was friendly, and they had seating so we could eat there after a long day of travel. We got four slices to try a bit of them all, but they also sell the pizzas whole. The slices were pretty big. I definitely recommend trying some hot honey on the side.”

“We walked into the restaurant, asked for restrooms, we were told that restrooms are for guests only. We told the “ manager” that we wanted to order food. She sent us to the back. We found the restrooms with locked doors. We went back to her and asked for the key. She ignored us completely. We felt treated like animals. Will never go back there. We called the restaurant to complain and they hung up on us.”
