My girlfriend and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary here tonight! The food was awesome, the environment was clean and friendly, and our server (Rayne you're a real one) made everything all come together. If you ever stop by, ask for Rayne, that dude will make sure you are well taken care of, and we'll definitely be back!

Food is so good! We got one of the preset BBQ meals for two and it was the perfect amount of food. It is a little pricey but the meat is really high quality.

This is a little hidden gem in Waikiki, right off the main road. We came for lunch, at 1:30 we had the restaurant to ourselves. We had the all you can eat lunch. It’s DEFINITELY your best bang for your buck $36 for all you can eat lunch which is unbeatable around here. The food was great, and the staff was so fast and friendly. Definitely worth adding to your itinerary.

Perfect we had a group of about 25 they accomadated us immediately which was unexpected. Food was great we ordered various dishes all where really good

We got there with my parents in law and my family . The hostess said they couldn’t take us in because in 30 min they were getting a 15 guest party. The places looked empty and could easily take us in .

Go in hungry for lunch. All you can eat for 70 minutes.. family of 5. Tapped out after 60 minutes. Even had the s'mores. Food was fresh. Service was great. Will absolutely go again.

Had a bad experience at Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ, Kapolei today.

We went there around 3:25 PM because we wanted to catch their lunch promo. When we arrived, the host told us the waiting time would be about 15 minutes and that they would call or text us when the table was ready. We asked again just to make sure: if we get called around 3:45 PM, will the lunch promo still apply? She clearly said yes, as long as we are called before 4:00 PM, we could still get the lunch promo.

Since we hadn’t received any call or text, we went back to the front around 3:50 PM to follow up. When we asked about our table, the two girls at the front looked at each other before telling us the table would be ready in 5 more minutes. We waited again, but it actually took another 8 minutes.
Then another server came and asked if someone had already helped us. We explained the situation, and she told us that the lunch promo stopped at 3:00 PM, which didn’t make sense because the staff earlier clearly told us we could still get it as long as we were called before 4:00 PM.

It was really frustrating because we made the decision to wait based on the information their staff gave us. If we had known the promo actually stopped at 3:00 PM, we wouldn’t have waited at all. The whole situation felt very disorganized and confusing. I hope management can clarify their policies with the staff so other customers don’t experience the same issue.

I love it. I've never been to that style of restaurant. I enjoyed cooking my proteins myself in the middle of the table. I want to back and try another item on the menu.

Our server was amazing! There was an issue with our grill and he quickly had us moved rather than try to fix it while we were waiting. He was attentive and made our experience seamless.

I really don't care to cook food which is why we go out almost exclusively. However, the food choices were great and the meats were excellent. Service was relatively fast as we eat early and there weren't many customers at 4:30 pm. Overall, extremely satisfied.

The food was very tasty, we ordered the meat variety course for 3. Unfortunately our server forgot several dishes which we had to remind her about, several of which we never received.

Food was not great but generally good. Service wasn't notable though our server was very nice and tried her best. In the end, it just wasn't a great experience. No one came to take our empty plates away so the table ended up being overcrowded and the overall experience chaotic. The manager was very nice and took off an appetizer that came at the very end of the meal; not necessary but appreciated. Overall, this place has seen better days and needs some kind of makeover (not sure what exactly) to bring new energy and make it shine. At this point in time, we'll be exploring other available options.
