Starbucks has changed, and Corporate values have changed. I am a gold card holder and a starbucks customer for over 40 years. If I make a purchase a one store and then go to another store, I should be able to ask and receive a cup of water. If a person asks for a cup of water, they must make a purchase. What if they are homeless and have no money. Do you allow them to skip their medication? It's hot in Hawaii, and Starbucks should have a courtesy cup of water. Your policy no longer promotes the use of green, refuse-friendly methods. Previously, you would give people coffee grounds when they asked for them, if they were available. Now your Policy change promotes filling our landfill.

Not all starbucks are the same!! 😁 This location, hands down, is my wife and I favorite. I don't know if it is the barista, but their coffee is always on point, flavor, and temp. The staff is very friendly and speedy. Everything I'm in Kapolei I do stop by for some coffee. Thanks for the wonderful experience.

Check your drive thru order before you leave. I, sadly, did not. The stickers were correct.. but whoever made my coffee and food was either rushing to the point of carelessness.. or they just did not care.

I only discovered the error once I was on the highway into town. Instead of happily sipping on my lavender iced coffee with lavender cold foam.. i was unpleasantly surprised by a cloyingly sweet.. slightly medicinal tasting coffee.. i sipped some more.. trying to figure out what they had put in it. Traffic was particularly bad yesterday (to anyone else stuck in it.. I hope your coffee was delicious).. so I was able to pop open the lid.. the foam was pink.. not purple.. and after wracking my brain.. i figured it out.

it was cherry.

They put cherry instead of lavender.. and no one noticed the bright pink foam on a label that says lavender. I would've noticed.. but the now opaque cold cups make it impossible to tell at first glance.
So now I'm stuck in horrendous traffic with my medicinal tasting coffee.. and I go to take a bite of the wrap pocket thing.. and was again surprised. It was not the falafel that I ordered.. and that was on the sticker label.. it was the chicken jalapeƱo.

At this point.. I'm just trying to not let the frustration take over as I'm gridlocked on the H1.

Lesson learned. Don't tip and don't leave until after you check everything.. cuz they don't care that you're about to be in 2 hr traffic sipping on a cup of cough syrup.

yaaa dontsay

Wonderful staff, but very expensive. $2 more for coffee than anywhere else, including Kapolei which is only a 5 mins drive away. The bag of Kona coffee was $3 cheaper at the airport!

The drive thru got my order wrong. Didn't know until I received the items because the order wasn't repeated to me. The barista/order taker was making personal conversations the WHOLE time and just passed drinks to us without addressing us at all. He just stuck his palm out for payment while still talking to his peers about other places that they wanted to go to after work. The pup cup was only filled 1/4 the way up. He did not know what drinks could be made decaffeinated. Awful awful service.

The new remodel makes this an almost impossible option if you're looking at a coffee shop to sit and work at.

Bldg renovation - good, but SIT-IN EXPERIENCE - BAD!
Seating space has significantly decreased with renovation, there were only 3 tables with 2 seats at each table. Two of us were able to sit down and I made a mobile order for counter pick-up. I kept looking at the counter for my order and after a long while I finally asked the barista about my order which she said was being made. After another LONG WHILE I asked again and she said it was sitting at the drive-thru window. This once go-to spot for relaxing, meeting, studying, reading, etc. has turned into a never-go-there-again spot. Service was lacking with no attentiveness. Atmosphere was distasteful with employees having loud personal conversations while they were making drive-thru orders. I don't recommend coming here if you plan to sit-in. I will not return, I would rather drive farther to the KUNEHI location.
