This was my first and last time ever visiting one of these restaurants. I walk in at 6:45pm. Hanging lights are off in the main dining room. All lights are off behind counter. The menu boards are so dark you can’t read them. Black TVs hang on the wall with nothing on them. Zero workers are in front of house. I have to holler back and ask an employee who was ignoring me (apparently she was off duty but just hanging around) if they were open. Finally someone comes and I ask if they are open. She says yes flippantly. Then why are most of the lights off in the restaurant and why is there no one available to greet customers when they come to the counter to order. She looks at me like I’m stupid and says “the lights are on, look”. She points to 2 fluorescent lights in the drop ceiling that are on (the kind you keep on at night for security). I said, are you kidding me? There’s no way I’d eat in this dingy dungeon with employees that could care less about the customer or about what they do.
If “management” reads this: you need to do a better job of actually managing the place and being aware of how this establishment is being run when you aren’t around. It’s a pathetic display. I get better service and atmosphere at Jack in the Box for goodness sakes. Wow.

Tried Teriyaki Madness out for the first time and I don't intend on going back. Let's start with ordering. There was about 2 items on the menu that were marked out of, cool, no biggie..and then about 6 laminated sheets on the counter of what they were out of.. and then their whole drink machine was broke to include their tea holder/maker. So bottled waters the only option. I got the Spicy Chicken Teriyaki with fried rice and no veg and my wife got the Chicken Teriyaki with all veg. My food came out warm, the chicken and sauce were really good, but the fried rice($2 extra) might as well have been white rice with some peas and carrots. My wife's food came out lukewarm(cold within a minute or two), the chicken and sauce were good(with the exception of being cold), the veggies consisted of one piece of broccoli, and the rest was cabbage(all well and good except that half the cabbage was just one large piece that took up a bit of the bowl that was still half raw). All in all this place has potential, but I will not be coming back or recommending this place to anyone to see if it gets better.

The Kapolei is soooo much better than the Pearl City restaurant. Better service, better cooked, and no loud music to try to talk over.

So, I decided to give Teriyaki Madness a try, and let me tell you, itwas a total letdown. I had high hopes for their Asian-inspired grub, but boy, was I wrong.First off, the chicken potstickers were a joke. They were so rubberyand bland that I could barely force myself to swallow them. It's likethey forgot to add any seasoning or fresh ingredients. Then came the main course, a two-protein bowl. The chicken was as dryas the Sahara Desert, and there was hardly any sauce to moisten it up.And don't even get me started on the beef. It was like chewing onleather. Seriously, they should rename it "beef jerky teriyaki"because that's what it tasted like. But the worst part? The sauce. It was sickeningly sweet with thisweird artificial taste that made me want to gag. It completely ruinedthe little flavor the meats had left.OveralI, I wouldn't recommendit to anyone unless they enjoy wasting money on terrible food.

Ordered teriyaki chicken but was given spicy teriyaki chicken. Was in a rush to bring the food to the beach to watch the sunset so I unfortunately didn’t realize until it was too late
Would give zero stars if possible. Ordered food and prepaid for pickup. Get to store to pick up and find out they don’t offer what I ordered. Why even offer and have it on the menu?Would not recommend this place. 0/10 F-

Jason at the front counter was fantastic! He had great recommendations and suggestions. He was super apologetic that they were out of steak and all around made it a great visit. We dined in and I saw this was his interaction with all customers. Great job!

The crab Rangoon was gummy in the middle as the dough was undercooked. The broccoli in one meal was raw. The "vegetables" in my meal was just cabbage. Poor quality at high prices, we won't be going back.

They were great when they first opened but now every time we go the food comes out different. So inconsistent in the food prep/cooking. But this last visit was the worst.Orders 6 bowls and 1 side of tofu. After paying they said they were out of tofu so they subbed it with teriyaki steak. Got home with $100 worth of food and almost all the bowls were wrong. Wrong proteins and flavors. And the teriyaki steak wasn’t even cut up, whole pieces without any sauce on them. I used to love this place but after repeated disappointments, we are done.
