“One of the nicest experiences on Maui. If you are in the area, it is worth a visit.

Cocktails were excellent and unique. I recommend the Pina on the Rocks, it was an innovative twist on your traditional pina colada and was the best cocktail I had on my visit to Maui.

The food was some of the best we had on our trip. Portions were large and the dishes themselves were a refreshing change to other alternatives nearby. Both of our starters were excellent and our mains were good as well. The only critique for our party was the fish was slightly overdone for the market catch and noodles. **The Mexican fried chicken on the special menu was incredible. It was the highlight in terms of food and I would highly recommend it if it’s available.

Colin, our server and the rest of the wait staff positively contributed to our experience and the overall atmosphere offering great recommendations throughout the evening.

“Great ability to create and customize your own bowls! They have an ingredient list with so many different options! They tend to fill your salad bowl more with leaves instead of the other ingredients though. The staff member helping me was also a bit abrupt.“

That said, service was kind, courteous and *unobtrusive* and the view of the sunset cannot be beat. Beautiful setting! “I don't really get the bad reviews. Perhaps things have changed since. We ordered a few things from this place since it was close to our room. We loved everything we ordered. No complaints. In fact i wish we were still there to order again. Food was fresh and had good flavor. Yes it was pricey but that's expected at a resort. Customer service was great.“

“This place is soooo good! We got the smoked meat bao sliders and the sweet and spicy pineapple crispy chicken and both were sooo good. This was our last stop on vacation before heading to the airport and I’m sad I can’t have more of it.“

Wow, wow, wow! This place blew me away! First of all, the teriyaki chicken was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had on Maui - perfectly grilled with great flavor. It was savory and slightly sweet, with the perfect balance of teriyaki that left me wanting more. And just when I thought it couldn’t get better… I tried the Nutella Explosion rolls. Talk about heaven on a plate! Soft, gooey, and perfectly spiced with a generous swirl of Nutella, they were the ultimate sweet finish. I'm coming back to try all the sweets and the BBQ burger. 😁“

You’d expect a dish with this much flair and sophistication to be served at a Michelin star place. “Got the Papaya Dream Salad. I am gluten sensitive. Asked what was in the health grain mix. Sounded like the lady said rice and berries and she said it was gluten free. I couldn't see what it was exactly from where I was standing. Turns out it was Barely - not gluten free!!!“

“Starting with Jason at the front reception area of the restaurant he set the tone with such a warm and welcoming attitude, and seated us at the best table in the house (we were super early lol so that helped too) but his genuine warmth is such an asset to this restaurant- he is a keeper! Karen our server also a keeper so attentive and kind and anticipated out every need. Norma our busser topped it all with her friendliness and great service. Such great staff! “We recently had our wedding at Gannons and it was AMAZING! We were blown away at how beautiful the ceremony site was (Molikini Lookout) as well as the reception site (Lower Lawn). Gannons was great to work with from the start! If you are looking to get married at Gannons we would HIGHLY recommend upgrading your ceremony site to Molokini Lookout, the view was breathtaking and the pictures do not do it justice!! We are so glad we decided to have our ceremony at Molokini Lookout. We were really happy with all the staff (especially the bartender, he was AWESOME!!). We did have a few hiccups with dinner and dessert. The crab cakes (appetizer) were to DIE for and everyone loved the salads. We were disappointed that the fish that was served along with the filet of beef for dinner was very fishy and not edible. The filet however was delicious. The timing of the meals was also disappointing. The salads were served quickly but the dinner course took quite a long time to come out after. We had guests asking where the dinner was. We also had the same issue with dessert, unfortunately. The dessert was not brought out until after last call was made (over an hour after dinner was finished) and less than 15 minutes before the wedding was over! We had decided to add the "chef selection of desserts" for our guests along with serving cake and unfortunately hardly any of our guest were able to enjoy any dessert since it was served so late. So, if you do decide to get married at Gannons (which we still recommend) we would suggest having a detailed timeline for courses and dessert to avoid what happened to us. Overall, we are very happy with our decision to choose Gannons for our wedding day!“

“While waiting for our flight, we tried the Cuban sandwich, which was fantastic! We also enjoyed a Mango Cart beer, which always hits the spot. It’s a great place for a quick bite at the airport, great ambiance and the service was excellent—especially the friendly bartender.“
