The experience didn't meet my expectations. The service was sub-par. We waited a long time for anyone to even welcome us at our table of take a drink order. When courses came out, the dirty dishes from the previous course had not been cleared. These are the basics. And when going for a $500 meal for 3 people the basics should be covered and the service should be above and beyond. We don't plan to return.

Excellent service, our server Andrea was very attentive, never felt rushed. We were seated at a beautiful breezy spot which was a delight as we witnessed a spectacular sunset! Spago exceeded my expectation from the staff to the very delectable meal which we thought was a work of art! Everything was on point from the presentation to its taste!

A totally disappointed experience. A beautiful place in heaven, expensive as expected but.... A big "but" includes everything. A rude staff all over from kids that they have no idea and any respect for who and wher they work for. The presentation are awfull, We really have no words about the tastes also. In our thoughts Intervened is an urgent process for Mr. Wolfgang and his team.Never again!!!

Wonderful dinner - killer sunset view and patient attentive service that accommodated our children who joined us. Sushi for appetizers was delicious; Tuna and Macadamia crusted Mahi for dinner topped off with a chocolate soufflé. Kids rated the steak on the kid’s menu with highmarks.

We come to Maui every year and eat at Spago at least twice during the month we are here . You can not compare the service/ food/ ambiance to anywhere except maybe Mama's Fishouse !! We are coming in again on April 4 th and can't wait . Keep doing what you are doing you are constantly meeting and exceeding expectations from our end . Lori Mitchell/ Susanne Kocian

Fabulous restaurant and great decor. My experience was top notch and the staff were extremely friendly. Prices of food not too bad either for a 5 star restaurant. Highly

Over 1k$ for bottom of the barrel food, absolute and utter embarrassment for Wolfgang and a complete insult and disgrace to the world of cuisine of food as a whole, the 'culture' of the food (if you can even call it culture) is utter pretentious California trash, small portions bad food with weird cultural twists. You'd be better off eating from the trash of a McDonald's for the price considering this 'food establishment'.If you have a pallette or taste above a 5 year who's only eatten boiled potatoes their whole life do not come here. Service was good though.

Great spot, great service, and delicious food! A home run! Thank you David for the great service! Thank you to the entire Spago's team for another wonderful time! Cheers Laura and Chris

Fantastic dinner experience from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The staff, food, ambiance and professionalism did not go unnoticed. Would absolutely recommend Spago!!

The view is beautiful, the service was magnificent. The food was gorgeous. The taste and texture of the fish I ordered was just ok. For the price, I would recommend so many other places. However, the view, the location, it's the top.

We spent over $1000, the only dishes we ordered were worthy of calling 5 star dining, the lobster “ceviche” and the complimentary breads. We ordered: Whole “Peking” duck, whole amberjack prepared Hong Kong style, Thai curry, and a tomahawk steak. The Peking duck was soft, oily, greasy= gross. If you’ve ever tried real Peking duck, you know that the whole point is to have crispy skin and juicy meat. We had to send it back. My son ordered the Waygu steak instead. The whole fried fish was ok, nothing to write home about. My daughter enjoyed her Thai curry but honestly, it was too sweet. Now, the $225 tomahawk steak…the description was just tomahawk with fingerling potatoes. First of all, I’ve been eating steaks for most of my life, medium rare of course! This steak had medium pieces but the middle was perfect medium rare. It was under seasoned and the rosemary overpowered the steak bc that’s all I tasted, the garlic cloves were not cooked through but not raw. The potatoes were fine. Their house made steak sauce was good but when you order steak, you want to actually taste the meat. I regret not sending it back. We had already sent the duck back. Our server David was sweet and Tyler was amazing. Unfortunately, we will never go back. The view is great, the staff are sweet and attentive. We were celebrating my husband completing his 1st round of chemotherapy. He has stage 4 cancer that metastasized to both lungs and liver. We don’t know if we will be going on another family trip…this could be our last family trip. So so so very disappointed. Wish we never wasted our time and money there. The sashimi and sushi at Miso Phat Sushi was fresher and tasted better than Spago!

I've been to other spago in other locations. Spago never ceases to amaze me. The food is fresh and good. The service ia good and my server was nice and attentive. He gave me some recommendations and knowledgeable . I'll start with the cold small appetizer from Kona Lobster ceviche and kampachi tostadas ( oh my... good and good) then for my big grand finale is crusted crab with kampachi ( amazing combination), i love the duo combination and last to end my wonderful dinner i had the special strawberry meringue dessert ( i finished the whole thing, so .. u must be wondering if it good or not if i finished the whole thing).

If you're staying in Wailea and can't make the trek to Mama's in Paia. This is very comparable in terms of food. My parents and I dined here for dinner and everything from the service to the food exceptional.
