This shave ice shop does not exist. We tried twice to find it and it does mot exist anymore.
We tried after seeing the Kilauea Lighthouse but the google maps sent us to a wrong street.
We also tried to walk and find it in the shopping center with the Kilauea Bakery, after eating at the Kilauea Fish Market, and even though we found the map legend that said it would be in that shopping area it is not there.
Take a picture and prove me wrong.
Also the owner needs to update their store information.

We tried several different shave ice places on the North Shore. Hapa’s is hands down THE BEST! Flavorful syrups, excellent coconut fluff, and amazing ice cream.

The regular shave ice here is superior to the shave ice place by Foodland, but you run the risk of it being closed after 1:30pm when they run out of ice. The Pau Hana specialty one is to die for. The Hapa and Surfer Girl were ok.

We stopped into the Kilauea Village and enjoyed a delicious shaved ice special at Hapa's - the Mango Bingsu is so refreshing and includes fresh mango. Definitely a good one to share as it's a large portion!

Perfect on a hot day In Kilauea. I got haupia, guava and lilikoi with mac nut ice cream & snow cap. My friend got the hanalei. Very yummy. Great service & super fast! 10/10

Came here at 4:30…. Closed when it’s suppose to close at 5:00pm. Sign on front says closed sometimes if run out of ice…. Well…. don’t run out of ice. I turned off the main road just to come here.

Had the Frother and it was excellent! Haven’t really tried a more rich and chocolate shaved ice before (more used to fruity and mochi), and it didn’t disappoint! Also the staff was super helpful and did not pressure you.

Friendly service and maybe we got a “bad one”. But our mango / pineapple shaved ice was mediocre at best. Not much pineapple syrup and the ice was more snow cone like. We’ve had better on the island. Didn’t finish which is a bold statement. That said, they were friendly.
Having tried several shaved ice places in this trip to Kauai, this has been the best so far. I had a tigers blood & mango shaved ice with a scoop of vanilla Ice Cream. It was amazing and hit the spot. The employee helping us was super friendly as well! Would recommend to anyone looking for good shaved

One of our favorite shaved ice spots on the island! Quick service and friendly people! Highly recommend the Kīlauea Lighthouse!!
Kid-friendliness: There is a kid sized option - the first I have seen at a shaved ice truck!

Went to so many shaved ice places in Kauai and this one tops the list by far. We got the Hapa which has vanilla ice cream, mochi, strawberry and lilikoi syrup. Usually it comes with strawberry but they were out and substituted with pineapples. The whole thing was topped with a coconut fluff which is like a dense whipped cream.Ice consistency was good, the coloring wasn’t creepy and fake, the fluff was special and the mochi was nice and chewy (and not hard and frozen as most mochi in ice cream can become.)It does take some time to make so patience is a virtue. But as the sign up front says, “We’re worth the wait!!”

This was the absolute best shave ice we had on Kauai! The macadamia nut ice cream was also absolutely phenomenal. The food truck is tucked amongst some really cute shops which made for a wonderful stop on our way back from the Kilauea lighthouse. A must do!

I'm not very particular when it comes to shave ice. But, I do know what shave ice is and that's what I want when I'm on Kauai. Hapa's is more like a snow cone consistency, definitely not the fluffy lite snow that it should be. $7 for a regular with choice of up to three flavors is nice. $2 to add ice cream fair enough. The special selections at $11 and/or the organic syrups that add $2 seems a little much. Try a $7 regular and see what you think. If you want to go all out then I'd look elsewhere for the traditional shave ice consistency.
Wheelchair accessibility: Parking at the Kung Long center. Access is fairly flat and smooth getting into the open courtyard where Hapas is located.
