I have been to several over the years on different Hawaiian Islands and this would rank in the middle somewhere. They did have several interactive displays prior to the show with natives that were performing special talents like skinning a coconut. The stage was small and probably much better if you get seated close enough, but the way it is set up is a disadvantage to most views. The food was my least favorite.

Very enjoyable experience. For a luau, the food was quite good, as were the mai tais. Really enjoyed the show.

The performance was simply beautiful! I wouldn't want to attend a Luau anywhere else. I especially appreciated how the Hostess explained about Hawaiian culture and history. We learned a lot about Aloha.

Definitely and expensive experience but we enjoyed it for our first luau. Don’t expect anything crazy from the dinner but the dancing, view, cultural stations, and service are wonderful. I’m glad we went!

Amazing show and service. The food is okay but the experience was 10/10 and would go again. It is such a fun way to learn about the culture.

Parking: Easy to find the free parking lot and there is valet available.

Kid-friendliness: This is family and kid friendly and is a wonderful experience.

Selected this Luau since it was at the hotel we were staying at and it fit our schedule. We paid $416 for two adults to attend. It had”assigned, shared” seating. The tables were 8 place rectangular buffet style tables. We were seated at the very back. By the end of the show everyone in the back, including us, was standing so we could see the stage at the front. The food was mediocre buffet food, appetizers were edamame, some kind of strips of beef and plain potato chips. The dinner was plain ube slices, steamed fish or pulled pork, mac salad and regular mixed green with dressing. Drinks were either Mai Tai or Blue Hawaiian cocktail, one type of beer or box wine, assorted sodas, water. Desserts were sliced pineapple upside down or chocolate sheet cakes. None of the food or drinks were great.
The reason for 3 stars is entertainment was OK, good band and decent performers. The stage was only about 2’ higher than the ground, so if you were seated behind someone tall or towards the back you couldn’t see most of it, but you could tell there was effort put into it. Overall very disappointed. For $416 at least expected good food, good drinks, and good entertainment and got none of the three. I could have poured myself a cocktail and ordered room service and had a better view on my balcony. This was the only truly bad experience of a 12 day trip.

We have been to several luau's all over the Islands & this one was pretty disappointing all around. We waited almost an hour after being seated, for the buffet to start. The chicken was dry & the Teriyaki Beef had no taste. The seared Mahi was the best dish of all. Everything else was really bland & lukewarm. There weren't nearly as many dance routines as there were at other luau's. A lot of time was spent on story telling & audience interaction & not the quality dancing entertainment we paid for. We couldn't see the Fire Dancer towards the end of the show, as they had staged him way off on one side of the seating area. Also, there was no photographer which was also disappointing. We wouldn't recommend this show for what they charge.

Food was better than expected! Really enjoyed the beef dish. Entertainment was great and you really can’t beat being right on the beach. There was even a rainbow for a bit. Photographer did a great job and we purchased three digital photos (at $30 each.) band was excellent. We are staying at the Sheraton so it couldn’t have been more convenient! Premier seating was worth it.

The best on the island, outside and on the beach. Only one on Kauai with both features. Great food and drinks. Entertainment unbelievable and fun. Must see on your next trip here.

The luau felt inauthentic and cheesy. In my opinion, the hostess/emcee was more of an annoying announcer giving a very unnecessary and cloying play by play. Sort of like “wow, give it up for do and so, wasn’t that amazing?!” Felt like a show at Sea World or a circus.

We also attended the Ahi Lele Fire show at Anaina Hou park - a nonprofit. It was mesmerizing, entertaining, authentic and did not feel like a tourist trap. Also a fraction of the price ….
