We've been to a LOT of luaus on Kauai and this is hands-down our favorite. They have the coolest pre-show activities, the best photographer, and some of the tastiest luau food we've ever had.I highly recommend splurging for the VIP tickets. You'll get the best seats, a special appetizer, and first crack at the buffet. The show is fantastic and quite enthralling. And the location is amazing. It's right next to the beach so you get the best sunset photos. If you're in the Poipu area, this is definitely the luau to book!Kid-friendliness: My 9yo LOVED this luau! He got to do all kinds of hands-on crafts before the show. And he really enjoyed all the food options.

This was a very nice luau right on the water on the Sheraton property. The staff was very warm and welcoming just as most Hawaiian people are. The food was very good and there were many options. Traditional pork along with beef, chicken and fish. Open bar served good cocktails and the entertainment was very good. Even if you don't think you would enjoy the hula dancers you will be surprised at the dance. It's very graceful and draws you in. It is a great time!

This review focuses on two things, the food and the entertainment. The food was mediocre at best. While there were some very tasty dishes the hot food was all lukewarm. I really liked the beef dish they have. But the other three big proteins of chicken, pork and fish were all substandard in taste for the price. The sides were all good and the drink selection was OK. The second part of this review, the entertainment was awesome. Everyone involved did such a GREAT job and it was so worth the price. Its was such an enjoyable way to learn the history of the amazing Hawaiian culture. We got the premier seating and we’re at the table closest to the stage and it appeared to be the ONLY table in the immediate path of a strong wind current caused by the proximity to the building, like a wind tunnel. It was ridiculously cold because of that wind the entire time and half of what was on the table constantly blew off. I was extremely disappointed with this as we paid extra for the seats and I believe they were the most uncomfortable there. In the end I suggest reviewing all luaus on the island first before deciding which one to go to. If the entertainment is a big draw for you then I highly recommend this luau. If the food is the big draw for you then I don’t recommend this luau!!!

We were on our honeymoon and I poorly planned our intentions to visit a Luau so when I called to book they told us we weren't able to join due to the luau being fully booked and a huge waitlist so I sadly hung up. Bummed that I wasn't able to go I was walking with my wife as I noticed I missed a call and when I listened to the voicemail it was (sorry for the misspell here) Poi'hai from Auli leaving a message in hopes that she dialed the right number to inform us that there was a cancellation in the Premier Section and that she would be reserving the spots for us for 30 minutes to honor us since we were on our honeymoon. Once we arrived we were blown away by the atmosphere of the luau! The food was great, the dancers were INCREDIBLE, and the atmosphere was so fun. Next time I come to Kauai I'll be sure to book ahead of time because the moments me and my wife shared on this luau were unforgettable. Thank you again for such an amazing time!

The show was great but the food was not good and there weren’t many kid friendly dinner options. I was also disappointed that they didn’t have the traditional pig roast. This is over priced for what it is. If you decide to go, you definitely want premium seating.

It's very beautiful atmosphere but if you don't get the preferred sitting it's extremely hard to see the dancers or performers. I would also note there is NO need to show up early. Your tables are pre-assigned so standing in line for 40 minutes in the sun is not helpful. I would have liked to known that so I could have explored the area or hung out.

The show was great! The food was ok. The biggest issue I had was that they sat 2 parties of 4 at a table of 8 and rather than have half the table for each party it was a first come first serve situation so the other party took att 4 seats facing the ocean and my party of 4 all had our backs to the ocean. The better thing to do since we all paid the same was have 2 people from each party face the ocean and 2 people from each party have backs to the ocean. It seems an easy remedy to make sure everyone paying the same has the same experience.

The premier seating was worth it! Great views of the show and the luau performers were so talented and performed beautifully. The performances with fire were really cool too. Would definitely recommend this one!

I attended a Luau in Maui’s and this is not even close. Food: quality is really low. It’s a buffet, there are not waiters and nobody explain the meaning of the food. Drinks: Awful!!! Only 2 options, served in a plastic glass with tons of ice, sticky to your hands, with the cheapest alcohol. Show: I was expecting more history. It’s ad as a 3 hours show, but it finished at 2.5 hours sharp. I paid the premium and still have to do lines and lines, with poor service!!! I strongly recommend to find another luau. The only thing is that this is next to the beach… it didn’t worth it. Terrible!!!!

We had a great experience during the ʻAuliʻi Lūʻau. The performers and musicians did a great job, the food was plentiful and tasty and the atmosphere was lovely.I would recommend paying for the premier seating because you get a flower lei, seats right in front of the stage and first dibs at the buffet line.Highly recommend if you are on the south shore.
