Food is fresh and delicious. Highly recommend the glazed mahi or the ahi sandwich. Service is great and the ambiance is beautiful.

We went for breakfast most mornings in our 8 days at the Grand Hyatt. $52 each for buffet which is crazy but the Costco deal covered it o/w I would suggest going off property for brunch. Reallly nice breakfast spread , made to order omelets and service is excellent. Beautiful view of the ocean and resort.

What's advertised on open table is not what you'll receive once you get to the restaurant they did not have the brunch buffet nor did they have the prime rib or anything offered on the open table menu even though I called to confirm before I went there or reserved the restaurant. Service was subpar had one guy that didn't even want to wait my table the other guy was very nice and informative about the menus .

The service is absolutely five stars. The food just isn't really good. The buffet is fine but nothing stood out as really good. My sister really liked her smoked salmon bagel. My mom liked her tofu dish that came with rice. I wanted a fruit bowl and our server was really nice and allowed me to utilize the fruit at the buffet. None of the fruit was very good though. There was underripe melon and ok pineapple. There was no banana, mango, or anything else that would have come with the bowl. The vanilla latte was good, but I was just so disappointed with the food.

Great service initially, however, when ready for the check, we had flag someone. I know it was lunch time so we did not see this as an issue as service from being seated, water refills, and billing as great. I would highly suggest this as a place for business lunch.

The buffet from several years ago included smoked fish, assorted pastries, variety of cheeses, and wonderful bite sized desserts. We went there today and none of those things were available. In fact, it started with the hostess telling us we had 25 minutes to eat, which was wrong. We were seated around 11 am. I stated in the reservation that we were there for a birthday celebration. However, it was not noted by the staff. Not a memorable experience. In fact, it was a bust! I later noticed they cancelled the reservation through Open Table after we ate. Why? Go figure. For a premier resort, they need better staffing to maintain their quality of service. The food assortment should not have been downsized or downgraded. Two servings of eggs, some fruit slices, coffee, and sausages isn't worth $124 with tip included. The view is nice, but the disappointment stood out.

We had a fantastic brunch on New Year's Day at Ilima Terrace. First off, we adored our server, who was incredibly kind and went out of his way to make sure our dining experience was perfect from start to finish. We all ate at the breakfast buffet -- which had a myriad of tasty options. The buffet was well stocked and everything was quickly replenished. The omelette bar was great with omelettes made to order and no wait at the time we were there. There was a lot of fresh fruit and sweet dishes like pancakes, waffles, bread pudding, etc. our server also left carafes of coffee at our table so we could refill our cups as needed. The meal was exactly what we needed after celebrating the New Year, and I would totally return.

Had a Christmas buffet, the food was subpar to scraps, would have gotten better at Golden Corral$440 before tip for a family of four, two adults and two kidsFood was bland, cold, flies on itOptions were barely there, cheeses were mangled from whoever was grabbing them earlier, desserts were smeared and crumbledFood truck would have been a much more superior choiceI would think they make enough to afford either washing or replacing that gross carpet on the steps going down to the terrace, talk about first impression

The only place to have breakfast along with a 1,000 other guests. Super dirty. Servers are friendly but lazy. Take forever to clean tables. Given it is a buffet you need your table to have space. Everyday I have removed my own dishes because servers don't come around at all. Then they are and a massive tip. For buffet and never being around, what exactly am I tipping for ? Please consider clean spaces and actual service (ie checking in on your guests and taking dirty dishes away). This is basic !

The salad, cheese tray, and potatoes were very good. The macarons were excellent. The remainder of the food was average. The setting was excellent. But, at $100 a person, all aspects of this Christmas meal should have been excellent ! This was disappointing.

It is a little expensive for a holiday brunch. You are paying for the location and the ambiance. But over $100 with no mimosas??? You have to pay for them. The food is amazing but pricy when you look at what you ate.

This restaurant has an amazing view. We sat next to the little lake with the birds and fish. The food was delicious and well prepared. Our server, Kennedy, was really nice and helped us navigate the menu and pick the best dishes for the whole family. Will definitely be back!

A sweeping, picturesque setting and one of the best sauces paired with fish I've ever had! We dined here twice on our stay due to the Globalist discount, both for quiet lunches. I first ordered the hummus, veggie, and balsamic flatbread, which was a rather refreshing dish for traditional resort food. Next, I had the mirin-miso glazed mahi and the sauce was so good I wanted the recipe! So flavorful and unique. I've also gotten the ahi sandwich which was delicious, fresh, and not skimping on the fish. The prices are classic resort but the tranquil koi pond and swan atmosphere paired with surprisingly high-quality dishes make this restaurant stick out in my mind.

We have eaten the holiday buffet at the Grand Hyatt Kauai numerous times, and this latest Thanksgiving buffet was outstanding as usual. The food and selections were excellent, as was the service. Will look forward to continuing this tradition.
