Our family has been coming for 7 years & the ice cream is delicious. The service is also great. Our disappointment is that they are single-handedly, putting a single use plastic spoon, whether someone wants it or not in EVERY ice cream cone that is ordered (Not just the ones in cups). That adds up quickly here. We find this completely unnecessary & wasteful - just pollution that either fills up the limited landfill space or worse ends up in the ocean, rivers and community.
We don’t doubt that Lapperts in doing their part for Kauai & the 🌏 in other ways AND we would love to see Lapperts work towards also being an ocean friendly food venue in Kauai. 🌺 🌊 mālama ʻāina ❤️

The ube ice cream here is so good. We truly enjoyed our stops here. We also tried the baked goods, which were really yummy like the lemon scone and cinnamon roll. Their ice cream is creamy and light. The highlight was talking to the baker who was on his break and shared his Aloha Spirit with us. Try Lapperts, you will not be disappointed. But also make sure you have your credit card. Good food in Hawaii is not inexpensive

When your online google account says you close at 9 PM, but your door says 8 PM, that’s just a rude way to handle customers and mislead them. When trying to give feedback to the workers, they said they were based in Oahu..unsure what that means. But they weren’t kind about it.
I would suggest adjusting your hours to when you’re actually open in order to allow folks to visit you during appropriate hours. Love your ice cream and come every year, but this definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.

They’ve got multiple dairy free options that are surprisingly creamy and so good! Definitely stop here for a scoop or two when you’re on island 🍦

Poor management. Closed shop 1 hour early and turned away people standing in line rather than pre-planning closure to prevent people from wasting time standing in line.

Waited in line for 40 minutes this evening with two young children. The manager abruptly closed the doors in our faces 1 hour before their published closing time, with more than 30 people waiting in line, and said, “sorry, we’re closing now”. Will never return to this poorly run establishment that is so rude to loyal patrons.
