Lappert's is a great local chain of ice cream shops in Hawaii. They have homemade flavors you will not find anywhere else. Plus, it is relatively inexpensive compared to most Hawaiian fare. We went to the Koloa Landing Lappert's and it was fantastic.

I ordered an affogato with Kauai pie ice cream. Wouldn't recommend - it wasn't my favorite. Probably safer to just get a cup or a cone & pick a flavor that sounds good. No need to go crazy. If an employee by the name of Julianna is working I would not recommend ordering. Julianna made me feel like I was a complete inconvenience for even walking into the shop. When I asked to try and flavor she responded "what about it?" So I politely asked to try it again and she reluctantly gave me a spoon without looking me in the eyes. I proceeded to ask to try a few more flavors but then felt extremely pressured to order even though there was barely anyone in line behind me. She was staring at me tapping her nails as I hurried to choose a flavor to get out of her hair. So incredibly rude to treat anyone the way I was treated, let alone a customer.

Yes, they sell ground coffee which is perfect for a vacation, I get the small bags so we can try a couple of different flavors. I love the Kauai Pie coffee Service: Everyone is very friendly here, I would knock off half star only for the fact that our last three trips, they were sadly closed many days, but go every time they are open 2-3 times per trip. We would likely go more if they were open more (as of summer 2023). :) We have been to their Princeville location and their Sausalito, CA location about an hour from where we live. Ambiance: We started going to their downtown Koloa Town location back in the 90's, sadly it's since closed, however their Poipu location is awesome! Pretty spacious at the Shops at Kukui'ula. Parking is easy, and when there is a line it goes pretty fast. Check them out, you won't be disappointed!

One of the best ice cream shops in the US. Definitely Hawaiian types of flavors, kona coffee is phenomenal. My favorite is Coconut Carmel Mac Nut. We go every time we're close to one. Btw- if you are by the poipu store, their bakery is amazing too. Some of the best chocolate chip cookies you will ever have.

Great ice cream, great service, great place… but holy shrinkflation. Picture shown (one big bite taken) was nearly $6. I knew it would be expensive, but this was an unacceptably small cup of ice cream. It was so laughably small I had to take a picture and write this unfortunate review.

Super disappointing experience. Was told by a local this was the place for ice cream. However, they were out of several flavors and my order was wrong. I took it home to eat before realizing they messed up. Very disappointed and will not be going back. Too expensive to get an order wrong.

I always go to Lappert's when I come to Kauai as they have such great quality ice cream, with so many amazing flavors! This time I got the Ube Coconut and Auntie's Lilikoi in the Valentine's Day dipped sprinkle waffle cone and it was so so so so so good! I wish I could have more of it at this very moment, and for all of time. The line moves fast too!

Loved it, especially the "can't make up you your mind" bowl that lets you try 5 1/2 scoops. Great ice cream highly recommended. Can't remember all the names but everything I tried was great. You can sample the flavors first too.
