It was fine . Food was very good, but not exceptional. Portions were modest, so a shared plate really felt a bit skimpy. (Would have been nice to get a heads-up on that.) We cane at 7:15 -- earliers they could get us in -- and our waiter seemed stressed and exhausted. Arrived about 15 minutes earlier than reservation but were seated right away, at a table with an amazing view of the ocean and mountains in the distance. Service was excellent. When I mentioned I was vegan, the server pointed out what was, or could be made, vegan, or they could make me something special if I would like. Merriman's doesn't disappoint. We were being seated in a great location but the evening musician, while quite talented, was just way to loud for us so our hostess graciously seated us further back in the restaurant. We could barely hear each other but other patrons didn't seem to mind. One of the servers began doing a traditional hula to the music and it was quite entertaining.
