We loved our visits to A`A Roots during our stay in Maui!

What a happy surprise to find this wonderful vegan cafe that offers healthy food choices in a casual, friendly setting! There were so many meal and beverages choices, it was hard to select just one! We ate lunch and ordered breakfast burritos to take back with us along with a small carton of Coconut Glen's Love Potion vegan, organic ice cream. Kudos to the owner and staff for their part in making healthy, plant-based meals available for the community!❤️

AA Roots definitely leans into health first. Their açaí bowls are 100% unsweetened—no added sugar, honey, or syrups. If you have not had unflavored açaí before, it can be surprisingly bland and a bit rough. I think it would help if the menu or staff gave a heads-up that these bowls are not sweetened, since many people expect a sweeter “treat” style açaí bowl.
