We weren't expecting too much since it's a hotel restaurant but we were pleasantly surprised. I had the catch of the day - mahi - which was lightly breaded with a Parmesan, cream and caper sauce. Delicious! Husband had the ribs which fell off the bone. Veggies were done nicely and roasted potatoes also very good. Great service as well.
My wife had dinner last night at Auntie's Kitchen. We were quickly seated at a table in the shade. I started with their mai tai and my wife had an iced tea to enjoy with the spicy edamame. My wife ordered the teriyaki chicken thigh with rice and corn. Despite their nightly special of prime rib, I came to the Island to enjoy their fresh fish. I truly enjoyed the shoyu ahi poke over sushi rice. We enjoyed our meal and would go back any time.
We are owners here and dine here a lot as our folio would indicate. We love the Monday night prime Rib night and was looking forward to it again. I ordered Medium/rare which is pretty standard as we dine out a lot and it came pretty much alive on my plate. Even the waiter agreed that is was way under cooked. He took it back to the kitchen. Instead of providing me a new fresh slice of medium/ rare prime rib, they threw it in a pan and fried it in the cook top. Never have I seen this before. So needless to say, we were disappointed. My wife ordered the Mahi Mahi sandwich with fries and it came out with chips. Not what she ordered. It was not crowded so we were confused. She did like her sandwich!
I'm unsure of what other reviewers had that was so delicious. Everything we ordered, with the exception of the fries—kid's grilled cheese sandwich, pork quesadilla, lemonade, and margarita—tasted like it had been made with jet engine fuel. This was such a disappointment after a long day of travel and not wanting to have to venture out for dinner. We will not be back to Auntie's Kitchen. The food tastes nothing like anything I've ever eaten that was prepared by an aunt. The Westin needs to do better.
We were there for pasta night. The pasta was not good; noodles with lots of sauce, very little taste. I would not recommend it.
Servers are terribly slow and rude. There were about 4 families seated just waiting. The servers were dancing and socializing at the back of the bar.
They greeted us with a “yeah!” then they ignored us hoping our family will just leave and go somewhere else.
We got the hint ended up leaving and avoided eating at the resort.
Great Food. Service could be better when attending to drink refills and getting condiments.
Be advised, they don't serve breakfast here at all and open at 11.
Food options were limited as they have a lunch menu that is not available after 5pm. Joey was attentive and took care of my wife’s drinks.
The food was fine - semi fresh made, nothing special, nothing awful. Canned beans. Unsalted food, but again, not awful. The cocktails were mid. Prices inline with other restaurants in the area. Great atmosphere, especially at sunset.
Restaurantji Recommends
The food was excellent! I had the lasagna with a salad. Joey L. was very attentive as well. I would eat there again.
Great place with mostly standard poolside fare. Nothing spectacular but overall very good.
Pasta was very good but only came with one sm piece of bread. Would have been perfect if accompanied by a small dinner salad.
The food here is pretty poor quality. Paided $56 for a steak dinner that looked like it was cooked in a microwave. Would not recommend eating here at all.
Nice outside seating at the Westin, but it unfortunately looks right into a tall waterslide area so you can't see the sunset or the water (maybe you can at the far other side?). Server was friendly. Food was same price, but not nearly as good as Duke's. Wing appetizer wasn't good. Nicoise salad was actually pretty tasty, but it was huge. After I ate the good stuff - olives, potatoes, tuna, and green beans, there was still a giant plate of greens. Typical kids menu. Nice that there were crayons and an activity page for them to color.
