“We just so happened to stumble upon Slappy Cakes while driving by in Maui! We decided to check it out before heading back home from vacation and Slappy Cakes did NOT disappoint!! The food was incredible, the atmosphere was great, and everyone was very friendly. Coy was our server and we will never forget how awesome he was!! Not only was he an excellent and very prompt server but he stayed after closing time to finish a conversation with us about the island that left a lasting impact on our hearts. Most would have pushed us out, but not a single staff at Slappy Cakes rushed us out at close so we could enjoy our meal and our experience while also making powerful connections! “First time eating at this restaurant. I found the service excellent. Oliver was a great server, extremely friendly , and took good care of us. We got the short rib won ton appetizers and my wife got the chicken while I got the Thai curry with chicken. In short, the food was really well prepared, very flavorful and well presented. The view can't be beat as it was overlooking the pool with a beautiful view of the ocean. Having been to Maui many many times, I thought this was also a good value for the area. It's not inexpensive by any means, but relative to other restaurants I've been to it was a good value for dinner. I was curious about some of the negative reviews as I just didn't experience anything negative - food was delicious, the service was great, and I would easily return there on my next trip.“
